What is a Shacket? It’s fun when a new fashion trend category emerges and YOU know about it first! This trend is one that will resonate across the whole country! No matter what state you are from, the winter calls for a little extra warmth, whether outside or in! What is a Shacket?
A shacket is a wonderful combination between a shirt and a jacket, like the black and white shacket from Line and Dot above which adds an additional design feature of a knotted belt.
Usually the shacket is plaid, with a shirttail hem. You will often find quilting in at least the body or the linking of a shacket.
Common outer materials are cotton flannel, wool or a blanket-like fleece. Sleeves on the shacket can be worn scrunched or left unfolded to just below the elbow or fully extended to the wrist.
I have noted that the shacket is often styled with a single column of color underneath, especially black or white, to really make the coat itself pop out. However, I can see all denim, gray or navy underneath a shacket as well.
I have worn this trend for a long time as I have a vintage buffalo plaid Woolrich shacket. It’s quilted inside and cotton plaid on the outside. It’s divine and I wear it inside my house about four days a week when I get chilled. It is one of the few things I have actually worn out. I have had to trim off frayed edges of my shacket and put on elbow patches. Are you up for a shacket? Either way at least now you know, what is a shacket!

That is the coolest idea!
I would like the Free People
Vienna Brushed Wool Shirt Jacket because I think the length and colors are perfect.
I love the Madewell. I love the yellow color to bring some brightness in a dull and dreary season.
Omggg I want the bb dokta I love the colors and it looks so cozy 🥰
I would choose the Madewell Walton Shirt Jacket. I looks so warm and inviting.
I would love the Line and Dot shacket. It is very stylish and would look great with my work dress wear! It
I love the line and Dot Shacket. It’s definitely my syle.
I really would love to own the MSGM checked button down shirt because of the red/black pattern or the BB Dakota because of the plaid pattern. I wear black pants with a white shirt as my uniform since I’m a tour bus driver. Both of the shackets would match my uniform. If I wasn’t working these shackets could be worn with my black jeans too. Red and black are my favorite colors to wear outside of casual blue jeans. If it came down to cost though I’d have to pick the BB Dakota. I was furloughed due to the pandemic and have had to depend on unemployment to survive. Tourism is returning slowly thankfully. Next year will be a better year once the vaccine gets distributed. By the way your shackets are pretty cool!
I would love to have the BB Dakota Shacket.
The Tibi would be most my style and interestingly enough my eighteen-year-old daughter as well. It looks vintage and I can not believe that I am saying this but 90’s wear that I rocked as a ahem…20-something-year-old.
I like the Line and Dot jacket because it looks so warm and cozy.
I like the Line & Dot Harris Jacket. It looks warm and comfortable. I love the front pockets.

I am in love with all things plaid, but I do not own a shacket. I guess it is time to change that. Good luck to all.
