What is a Shacket?
A shacket is a wonderful combination between a shirt and a jacket, like the black and white shacket from Line and Dot above which adds an additional design feature of a knotted belt.
Usually the shacket is plaid, with a shirttail hem. You will often find quilting in at least the body or the linking of a shacket.
Common outer materials are cotton flannel, wool or a blanket-like fleece. Sleeves on the shacket can be worn scrunched or left unfolded to just below the elbow or fully extended to the wrist.
I have noted that the shacket is often styled with a single column of color underneath, especially black or white, to really make the coat itself pop out. However, I can see all denim, gray or navy underneath a shacket as well.
I have worn this trend for a long time as I have a vintage buffalo plaid Woolrich shacket. It’s quilted inside and cotton plaid on the outside. It’s divine and I wear it inside my house about four days a week when I get chilled. It is one of the few things I have actually worn out. I have had to trim off frayed edges of my shacket and put on elbow patches. Are you up for a shacket? Either way at least now you know, what is a shacket!

I would pick the Line & Dot Harris jacket. I like the style, I think it would be most flattering on my figure. I like that it is belted. I think it’s pretty. It looks warm, too.
I would choose the BB Dakota Eldridge Plaid Jacket I really like the color
Never heard of these! Nice, but I would buy the Rebecca Minkoff
Tori Jacket brown leopard print, because I always threaten my girls I would be one of those old ladies the dyes her head red and wear animal prints (no offense to anyone who actually does)
I think that my lovely wife would really appreciate the “SAM.” jacket. We live in a cold place, but that does not mean she cannot look good!
The re:named Long Plaid Shacket in brown looks really cozy!
I would love the Brando Button Down Shirt in Mixed Brooklyn Plaid. I like the different plaid designs next to each other and the length is perfect!
I like The Andamane Evita Jacket! I love the color as purple’s my favorite! The only thing missing is slit pockets on the sides.
I have yet to get a shacket, but I’m tempted! I really like THE GREAT’s “The Mountaineer Pullover”. The colors and the zipper are so good!
I like the Free People Vienna Brushed Wool Shirt Jacket. It would keep me warm at my grandson’s baseball tournaments and it’s also fashionable.
I have never heard of a Shacket before. I like the Vienna Brushed Wool Shirt Jacket because of the colors. I would wear this over a t shirt with jeans. I would be nice to wear both inside and outside when the weather gets chilly.
I like the The Andamane Evita Jacket because i like the colors and seems like it would be very comfortable.
I like the colors on the Xirena Kade Long Jacket. So pretty!
I would definitely pick the Andamane! I love all things purple and it is so pretty.
the plaid long jacket my wife would love
I love the Rebecca Minkoff Tori. I’m such a sucker for animal print and this one looks so stylish!
I like the zebra or leopard one the best
My favorite is the Amanda Uprichard aspen cardi because of the pockets and the length.
I would choose the re:named Plaid Long Jacket due to the non-stretch brushed weave.
I like the Rebecca Minkoff Tori jacket because I like animal print
I really like the Natasha Zinko Spikes Blouse in pink. It is so pretty.
