Mother Daughter Outfits with Monroe and Main

April 20, 2014 By Shelley Zurek 281 Comments

Now and Then — Daughters are like gold!

This is a Fashionista Event Opportunity, and is hosted by Still Blonde after all these YEARS and Modly Chic.
then and now Mother Daughter Outfits

Recreating a favorite photo:The Chief Blonde, Shelley Zurek, with her daughter, Kelly, for Mother’s Day, 2014. Second photo: Walt and Shelley’s wedding–mother and daughter share a moment.

Mother Daughter Outfits

My daughter and I have always loved clothes.  We have bonded over clothes shopping many times (she’s like a life-size Barbie! I love to dress her up!) She adores vintage clothes and bargains, just like I do. We excitedly call one another when obtaining a killer deal or superb clothing find.

These gorgeous pieces from Monroe and Main make it easy for both of us to show off our individual style, yet still look great together.

Monroe and Main Pieces chosen for our Mother’s Day Outfit shoot: Kelly is wearing the Gypsy Ankle Strap Sandal by Fergalicious ($80), Shelley is wearing the Artist Dream Dress ($80-90)

SHOES! SHOES! SHOES!

Now, I wear the same size shoes as my beautiful daughter but there is NO WAY I could have got her to give these blue wedge sandals by Fergalicious to me. She put them on the second she got home from college and wore them back to college after we did this shoot. Her boyfriend loved them which made these fantastic Fergalicious shoes from Monroe and Main an extra big hit!

You can’t go wrong with Monroe and Main shoe selections for spring, they literally have 100s of pairs. Just look at some of these beautiful choices for spring and summer.

Summer Shoe choices Monroe and Main

I had no problem choosing a beautiful dress for myself. The Artist’s Dream Dress from Monroe and Main will undoubtedly be my go to dress for Spring. It has every color of the rainbow in it! I can dress it down with a jean jacket as I did here or I can wear it with a cashmere vintage sweater as I did on Easter! Both looked great! Make sure to look at all of Monroe and Main’s spring selections.

I love the Lexi Myrtle Slide by Clarks
$99.95 because they are super cute and would give me a little height but nothing too outrageous since I’m expecting!

I love the Lily Flower by Stefani ! I love this one because it is the type of sandal that you can slip on and wear with a dress or slide into with a pair of jeans and make the outfit even prettier!

I love the cores quarter strap sandals by Hushpuppies. They are elegant as far as wedges go and would compliment many outfits.

I’d have to select the Largo sandal. I don’t like opened toed shoes so these would be perfect.

I love the Tropical Sandal by Monroe & Main. I like that it has a bit of a heal, but not too high and the great colors!

My fave is the River shoe by Corky’s footwear. I have to wear closed-toe shoes for work and these would be perfect, but still not the usual.
