Karina Dresses “Tracy” brings the Flowers for Spring
Blog Note: Whoot! I was provided a classic Karina Dresses Tracey for this “Midi Length” review!
The Chief Blonde is wearing Karina Dresses Tracy in Aqua Poppy Print ($158), Silver and Turquoise Necklace (similar), Loft Cardigan (similar), Michael Kors Bag($298), Seychelles Shoes (similar).
The Midi, my love/hate relationship
I have a love hate relationship with midi length dresses. I love how they cover my legs, give me that 40s (as in 1940s) look, and make me feel secure that my butt will always be covered. The bad part about a midi length dress, for me, is that I often feel swallowed up by it. Also, this length was popular in the mid-80s, so I am hesitant to bring that era back.
The Chief Blonde rocks the midi length dress circa 1987
Karina Dresses Tracy, a midi length dress
This Tracy dress from Karina dresses is really the best of both worlds in the land of midi length dresses. It is a midi length but because it’s a t-shirt/sheath cut it looks great without the engulfing nature of most midis.
Like all Karina dresses, the Tracy is made right in the USA in Brooklyn, NY! All Karina Dresses are machine washable and wrinkle-free (perfect for spring breaks or summer vacations). I would advise this dress for anyone with an hour glass figure like me! It was not as fitted around the breast area as many of the Karina styles are. You can find this dress right now in this print or in some fun paisleys. But hurry, the fabrics are limited and when they are gone they are gone.
Will YOU be wearing the new Midi length dresses this time around?

I love the ruby dresses. Dresses are my go to. I would much rather throw on a dress than a pair of jeans.
I think the dress looks nice on you, but I personally could not wear it because I have huge calves and the dress would hit them at their widest point. It wouldn’t be flattering on me, but, as I said, you look great.
I think the midi is a hard length. It either makes you look great, or like an old lady – but you made me want this dress!! Love it, and the print is so vibrant!
Well thank you KHD! Just head over to Karina to buy it! Psst, they have a great sale going on right now too! The chief Blonde
I don’t like midi-length dresses. I think it is because I am only 5″3. I do think the dress looks beautiful on you and I love the colors!
Thanks so much Allison. I am only 5’4″!
wow so many pretty dresses too choose from, have to say that purple plaid skirt with the gray jacket happens to be my favorite 🙂 Thanks for share @tisonlyme143
Thanks Dorothy! It is hard to choose isn’t it! The Chief Blonde
I love the teal flowered dress. It looks great!
Thanks Laura! The CHief Blonde
turquoise is one of my favorite colors for summer as I told momma told me cause she is wearing that color too. The color goes beautifully with the sweater you’re wearing

I do love the sweater with that dress lisa! The Chief Blonde
I personally like a longer length so this style would be perfect for me! You rock it as usual though too! 🙂
THanks Amanda. It’s amazing how divided people are on it! The CHief blonde
I think this dress is beautiful on you. I personally never look at dresses with flowers. I think this color combination and the length is perfect. I think I might now look for a dresses wiht flowers after seeing this on you.
Oh Barbara, that’s so sweet! Just click over to Karina and buy it! They are having a great sale right now too! The CHief Blonde
I think this “midi” dress looks great on you!! I love all the ones you have modeled!
Thanks Brandy! So glad you stopped in. Check out our other giveaways on the sidebar. Karina Dresses are so easy to wear. The Chief BLonde
Such a lovely dress. I love the midi length for a little leg, but not too much. These colors look great on you.
Thanks Jenn, It’s not an easy length to wear but I like the conservativeness of it!
I love love love this dress!
Is it your favorite so far @Jeanine? I know you visit most everyday, which one is your favorite? Shelley
I love this one! I really love the material- it’s very becoming with your blonde hair. I’m blonde as well and I think hubby would like it on me 🙂
Jeanine, I think it would look fab on you! The Chief Blonde
I never stopped. It’s the length I’m most comfortable in so it’s what I wear.
If it aint broken…. Love you Patty!
I’m too short to wear them!
Yes, it can be tricky unless the right length! Shelley
I always feel like midlength dresses make my shins look bigger…..as if that is possible. Maybe the key is the waistline?
I think it is all about proportion. Still, not the easiest hemline to rock. Shelley
The dresses all look great on you. I love the way the color pops on you. The Emily is my favorite!
I adore the Emily as well Brandy.
I love how you usually cinch the waste to add a little extra depth to your shape. Midi length dresses are a bit too long for me, if I’m going that long I’ll usually go for a maxi shirt.
Yes, I do find the Maxi Length more lengthening to my legs. The Midi when done wrong can be out of proportion!
I honestly think that dress is SUPER flattering on you and the colors, style, and pattern are so totally YOU! You’re definitely rockin’ that Midi my friend 🙂
Ahh Thanks Kayla! It was fun to wear the length again after so long!
I am afraid to wear the midi-length because I am only 5’3″ and I’m afraid it will just make me look even shorter. I noticed the one you’re wearing doesn’t come as low on the leg as the midi dresses of the 80s so maybe it would work for me. Love the pattern!!
Teresa, I am 5’4″ if that helps any as a reference. The Chief BLonde
I’m not fond of midi dresses but I like this dress on you. I think maybe it’s the flowers contrasting with the black background and the sweater that matches so well. You look beautiful. (as always)
Thanks Linda, Midi’s aren’t my favorite either but I do like this one! The Chief Blonde
