Raspberry Dump Cake Recipe
Keeping it Simple!!
Mama’s Raspberry Dump Cake Recipe, yes the title sounds unappetizing, but it is truly delicious.
This recipe is a cross between a cookie bar and a cobbler. I have been making this for four decades and still receive requests for it. It is a great addition to a brunch or as an evening dessert with a scoop of ice cream. Very easy, only five ingredients.
- 1 18-21 ounce can Pie filling ( strawberry/cherry/raspberry ) your choice
- 1 18-21 ounce can Crushed pineapple
- 1 18 ounce Yellow Cake Mix
- 1½ Sticks of Butter
- 1 cup of Sliced Almonds or Pecan pieces
- Using a glass 13"x9" rectangular baking dish;
- Pour pie filling of choice and crushed pineapple into pan, mix together well.
- Dump dry yellow cake mix over fruit and spread evenly.
- For the next layer, slice the butter thinly, distributing uniformly over cake mix as you slice.
- Finish by sprinkling your choice of nuts on top.
- Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until top is golden brown.
- Cool 1 hour or until crust has hardened slightly.

I have heard of dump cake but never tasted it. The dump cake with the ice cream looks delicious.
Oh this sounds so easy and so delicious!! I will have to try it asap!! Maybe with fresh filling tho?
This looks amazing. It’s always nice to have a recipe that everyone loves. I have my Mom’s giblet gravy. It’s amazing, and it’s always being requested 🙂
This looks very easy to make. Raspberries are my favorite.
Also you can buy the can cherries, apple, peach, raspberry at Walmart they have a better selection. I bought them at Albertsons and the price for 1 can is 4.23 a can that gets really expensive if you want to stock up on these items for later on. At Smiths they are the same price as Albertsons. I went to Walmart they sold the cans for 1.55 a can big difference. This is to save some money for everyone. The dump cakes are the best everyone that has tried the cake has loved it. They are so yummy. Thanks to the person that made this recipe it’s to die for.
Thanks
I have tried the apple, Cherry, Peach and now I want to try the raspberry. Everyone loves these cakes. The peach doesn’t use the pineapple and that’s a good thing because my husband is allergic to the pineapple. I wished there was another way to use all of the recipes without the pineapple so he can enjoy them like we do.
Thank you
Teresa
Hi Teresa, Just try leaving it out and see how it tastes! That’s what I would do. The Chief Blonde

This looks pretty good!
Paula I was thinking the same thing! I’m going to make this for Sunday …. then maybe Jenn can take it back to the dorm for her roommates and get what’s left out of here or it WILL be my downfall.
I’m thinking cherries and a mix of walnuts and pecans – I wonder if I used chocolate cake if it would be a take on German chocolate cake bar?
Okay that looks super yummy! THANKS
