I usually have a glass of red wine before bed every night. It’s a super end of the day treat for me. Also, after dinner, I usually have a little dessert of some kind. But with New Year’s resolutions rolling around, I needed to find a way to cut some calories. I crafted a wonderful Wine Smoothie from Yoplait light yogurt. This delectable sweet combines my usual dessert and wine into one late night treat. A Wine Smoothie is scrumptious for a late night, guilt free snack helping me to keep my New Year’s resolutions.

Sounds yummy, but if you want to cut the grams of sugar, switch to plain yogurt and add more berries (you’ll also get more fiber). Just a thought, since you were commenting on cutting calories/healthier desserts. But heck, if you want to keep it the same as above, I don’t care!

I think this is such a great recipe especially for summer. Today is Strawberry Rhubarb Wine day, and this would be a fun recipe to celebrate with. Mix it up with Strawberry Yoplait yogurt and frozen rhubarb for the fruit or use rhubarb wine for your red wine. This has so many options.

We’ve had yogurt snacks and even yogurt smoothies but not with wine. Great way to liven it up. You can play with flavors for many different tastes, too.
