The Italian Diabetes Cookbook
Italian food has a reputation of being fattening, high in carbohydrates and generally heart-horrible. Americans have taken Italian food, and added a ton of cheese to everything, plus frying things, and turning the food into artery-clogging nightmares. Real Italian food is healthful, delicious, and the most popular cuisine in the world. At its core, classic Italian cuisine is all about preparing fresh ingredients like fruits and vegetables, whole grains, beans, legumes, dairy, seafood, and poultry in time-honored techniques that preserve both tradition and flavor.

I love Italian food but I really don’t know any recipes so I’d like to get the Fine Cooking Italian: 200 Recipes for Authentic Italian Food!
Dave’s Gourmet Butternut Squash Pasta Sauce, 25.5-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 3)
..because i grew butternut squash for my first gardening experience and would like to give this a try in it’s sauce form.
I would certainly pick the Barilla pasta. Yes, the books and the cheeses and the oils impress me. But I have two reasons for picking Barilla. First, Barilla offers most of its fine pastas in gluten-free form. If I eat gluten, I get deathly ill. But I still love pasta. Second, Barilla has a production facility in Iowa. I’m an Iowan, and I like to support the home team.
I’d like to have the Table in Tuscany Italian gift basket. This way we could have a nice family dinner to celebrate our anniversary with all our sons and their families.
Would love to try the Malpighi Orange Balsamic. I love Balsamic and orange so this must taste amazing.
I would get the Italian wines 2016 book. I would like to learn more about Italian wine while my husband is working there this year.
I’d like to try the Mantova Bruschetta/Truffle/Garlic/Basil bottles and Columbus Salame Company Artisan Salame Secchi Fiore.
I would love to have the Authentic Imported Italian Cheese Collection (22.5 ounce)! We love cheese in my house and it would make a great cheese spread when guests are over.
I would like the 2# container of Nonni Biscotti Cookies–because they are one of my weaknesses for snacking.
The Italian Luxuries Gift Basket looks like it has a nice mix of lots of neat products.
