Lands’ End together with 21 real women from Curvy Girl Guide (www.curvygirlguide.com), will launch the first National Swimsuit Confidence Week May 23 – 27, 2011.  As a chosen blogger, Still Blonde after all these YEARS , is  celebrating women of all shapes and sizes and Women over 45, specifically!  I hope to inspire them to have fun this summer by taking part in National Swimsuit Confidence Week.

I, along with 49 other bloggers are posting our pictures on our blogs, in swimsuits modeled by Land’s End!  I know, I know…Pretty scary right?  You can’t imagine how I have fretted over this one!

So..here goes….

I have always admired starlets of yesteryear.  I find them so much more womanly than many of the super-slim stars of today.  So I looked to them for my swimsuit inspirations.

I can’t say this was easy–I mean, I have little to no pictures of me in a bathing suit for the first 49 years of my life and now here I am posting a picture on my blog for the whole world to see!  My husband swears my hits will go up…this is the same sweet man who says if he and I participated in the Bachelor Reality Series that he would just hand me ALL the roses right off the bat…I love that man!

Join Lands’ End each day May 23 – 27, 2011 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. CDST and participate ina series of National Swimsuit Confidence Week events on Twitter. The weeklong movement was created to celebrate women of all shapes and sizes as well as educate and inspire them to embrace their swimsuit beauty and have fun this summer. Each day Lands’ End will giveaway 10 Lands’ End Swimsuits, 10 Lands’ End Beach Towels and announce exclusive swimsuit promotions!

    If I looked like you, yes!! 🙂
    I wouldn’t “pose” in my swimsuit…but I have been photographed in it. I don’t really like it, but I figure my kids would like to have me in some pictures when they get older. 🙂

    To answer your question, NO! I need to lose a bit of weight before I dare pose in a swimsuit for any camera! 🙂 However, I think you look great in that swimsuit! Very classy!
