Paris Milliner Extraordinaire ($50.00 hardcover, 9780500517314) highlights the life and work of famed milliner Madame Paulette, whose incomparable creations were worn by such film stars as Greta Garbo and Audrey Hepburn, and such royals as Princess Grace of Monaco and the Duchess of Windsor.

The pictures in Hats by Madame Paulette are just stunning. This is not a flip through coffee table book, but  an enjoy-every-picture andspend-a-Sunday-afternoon-with-it book. When you view her creations, you will surely agree with Karl Lagerfeld, who said of Paulette:

I love how the book documents in loving detail the process by which Paulette learned and honed her craft – I always find that the most fascinating part of the biography of any artist!

I think it’s awesome, my grandmother loves big hats. She has all kinds of hat boxes in her closet! I love that the book talks about her clientele. I can’t wait to read it!

I like to read about the historical events that happened ( even if they are fictitious) during wars or around that time of the last century. It gives me insight into the lives of my ancestors.
