My Wonderful Father is 80 today!
No, that must be wrong! This is a man who wears no glasses, can lift his own weight, and only takes one pill a day! Doesn’t he look more like a 65 year old? (Please say yes, because that would make me 38 and I am all over that number!)
Let me just brag about my wonderful father for a minute. With it being his birthday and so close to Father’s day, I feel like I am allowed to go on and on a bit. Dad was an excavator his whole life with his own business. He worked so hard each day, laying pipe and managing a crew of men. As we are from Michigan, he worked in the hot hot heat and the dead winter cold.
Not only was he a great provider for our family even during hard times, he always had time to play with us and work with us. He and I spent three years down at our barn building soap box derbies and another few months finishing and painting my first big-girl car. We always went snowmobiling and sledding in the winter and spent time shooting in our backyard (an open area) in the summer. My dad would often take my brother and go with his brother and father to the local gun club to shoot skeet. Sometimes, even I would get to go along.

What do you get the “Perfect Father” for his birthday or Father’s day?

I mean this is what my husband Walt likes to spend his time doing (he won’t admit it though):

I would love to get my man (and kids “step”,and best friend) a number of accessories for his shotgun. He came into our lives, 10 years ago, and from day 1 he has always been here for us. Mike is so wonderful and helpful since I got really ill, I have Fibromyalgia, he has done things from cleaning the house and carrying me to the bathroom. Mike deserves some thing like this and honestly so much more. My fingers are crossed for winning this one.

I would like to get him the Eagle’s Camp Family Voyager 8-Person Tent so that we can all go camping together and have plenty of space for the 4 of us.
So many great items to choose from but I think my favorite would be the
Men’s Ultralight Fishing Stockingfoot Waders. After many years of use, my husbands waders finally gave up the ghost. With multiple tire patches and plastic patches the poor things just couldn’t hold the water out anymore. Fishing is my husbands passion and he would be thrilled to get a new pair with no holes or patches on display (plus damp feet to boot).
My Daddy passed away 2 years ago and my how I miss him. He did so much more me that I didn’t even realize he did until he couldn’t do them anymore. One of my Uncles, my Daddy’s brother in law, kinda stepped in when my dad became disabled practically overnight and went on dialysis, and managed our land, camp, deer hunting etc… And we are so blessed that he did because we just didn’t know what or how to do all that my uncle does and/or gets done therefore my sister and I always get my uncle a gift for Father’s Day now and he gets so emotional about it. He is humbled greatly because he’s just that good of a person.
I would get the Karcher 1800 PSI Pressure a Washer because he would certainly use it keeping the outside of our homes, the camp, equipment etc clean. Thanks for the opportunity.

Well since my dad has passed on i would love to use it to get my children’s father (my hubby) some new fishing gear since his was stolen during our vacation.
