DIY Googly Eyes – Fun for kids and adults

Aren’t googly eyes just the most fun, scary and ridiculous form of decoration there is? Anything is funnier with googly eyes! It’s quick to buy them and use them for food decorating, like these great bloody eyeballs and googlie eyes from Celebration by Frey!

Or you can get some and use Celebration by Frey and Sixlets decorative candy products and create some of your own!

Use Celebration by Frey and Sixlets decorative candy to make your own googly eyes. A edible Food Marker keeps these treats safe for all.
Author: Shelley Zurek
Recipe type: Dessert
Cuisine: Halloween
Ingredients
  • Edible Food Markers (I used Wilton)
  • Celebration by Frey and Sixlets Decorative candies (various colors and sizes)
  • Something to hold the candies in place will drawing on the circle ( I used an inverted egg cup)
Instructions
  1. Print out various sized circles to fit your chosen candies
  2. Use an exacto knife to cut out the inside of the circle
  3. Place the open hole over the candy.
  4. Draw a circle with a edible Food marker onto the candy by tracing the edge of the paper cutout.
  5. Remove cutout template and draw in a half circle for a googly eye. They don't look really great until they are all done.

  6. Also a variation: draw a small pupil on the candy with an edible food marker and let the candy represent the rest of the eye

I like the red, white, and pink sweet shapes although it is more Valentine’s Day than Halloween. I just think they are so pretty that i would like to have them in a bowl in my dinning room.

Glad to see this one up that you had mentioned to me! Hope I can be lucky this time around. I would like sixlets in all the pretty colors of the rainbow they have. I have not had that candy in years I didn’t think anyone was still making it. I also love all of the sprinkles for decorating cookies and cupcakes. Hardly any of the blogger’s posts including yours have a link to the sponsor that works.
