I never seem to want to stop wearing summer clothes and I certainly am not in a rush for summer to disappear. During these final days of summer, I like to wear some of my favorite pieces just one more time. I call this “Getting the most out of your wardrobe.” As it’s getting a little cooler in Michigan, I might have to throw on a jacket or a sweater, but it’s a great way of extending your summer shoes and dresses just a few more weeks, don’t you think?

There is a new internet site that I found that has used designer clothes. I picked up a silk jacket, a black jacket with embellishments, a Lauren denim vest, and a pair of leather Nine West Shoes all for $36 from the sales section. I COULD NOT BELIEVE THE PRICES. Everything was in like new or very good condition. BONUS? A majority of the proceeds go to charity! For example, out of my $36 that I spent? $19 goes to the charity designated by the owner that donated the clothes. This can’t miss site is called FASHION PROJECT. GO THERE NOW! (before I buy all the good stuff!)
How do you extend your summer wardrobe fun?
You look really cute, Shelley! I am done with summer clothes…put many of them away. I know, I know it is still hot in Texas…but I am tired of them…so I have some warm weather fall looks I try to do and then turn down the thermostat in my classroom!! 🙂
Thanks Pam! I have put some of my summer stuff away but Michigan can be tricky and we cling to every bit of warm weather we can.

I wear summer clothes all year around – in Tucson. I just have to layer them! I’m headed off to visit the clothing for a charity site you mention right now!

You look super! “Summer wardrobe” is relative, as my current clothing choice is sweat pant shorts and a T-shirt, both of which are splattered with paint as I finish up an outdoor project. 😀 I look summery yellow (the paint is yellow) but nowhere near as fantastically summery in yellow as you.
