Wouldn’t you appreciate a NATURAL Memory Foam Pillow?
Essentia Classic Pillow Review
Essentia Classic Pillow $199
For this Essentia Classic pillow review, I was provided samples for review.
The Chief Blonde Remarks: I was sent an Essentia Classic Pillow for review. I currently sleep on a Latex Pillow so I was excited to contrast the Essentia Classic pillow to my own. The Essentia Classic pillow is made from Natural Memory Foam. Essentia and Tempur-pedic are the only Natural Memory Foam pillow producers in the North America.
What is NATURAL memory foam?
Essentia Natural Memory Foam is is made using hevea milk (rubber tree sap). It feels like the memory foam we all know and love, but it’s made without the gunk. Gunk you say? Yes, other memory foam manufactures claim to have eco memory foam, plant-based foam or containing natural properties, boasting green tea memory foam, Bio-Pur memory foam or soy memory foam. But alas, as noted by Essentia, in all cases, petroleum based foam is used, with 2-15% of the petroleum being replaced with soy or cedar oil, allowing the product to be promoted as “natural” or “eco-friendly”. Not very “Natural” in my book.
Latex Pillows versus Natural Memory Foam Pillows?
Latex mattresses are known for being durable, natural and healthy. Memory foam mattresses are known for their pressure relief and comfort…but are full of gunk. That’s why Essentia invented a natural memory foam. Essentia has an extensive discussion on this topic over on their website which I found fascinating. Yes, it’s a discussion presented by the manufacturer of Natural Memory Foam. I found it to be quite balanced. Read: What’s better, Latex or Memory Foam Mattresses?
My final weigh in of Natural Memory Foam versus Latex
I love my Latex pillow. I have had one since I was tiny due to my excessive allergies to feather pillows. When I tried the Essentia Classic Pillow, I was dubious. The Classic pillow is made from 100% Natural Memory Foam, weighs in at 5 pounds, and is designed to mold itself to your exact body shape to evenly distribute head and neck weight, reducing pressure that often causes stiffness, poor sleep, and pain. Essentia Products are made in Canada
Each night when I slept on the pillow, I had a hard time going to sleep. It was not “My” pillow so I think it took some time to develop a comfortable relationship with it. On the flip side, each morning I woke up from a deep sleep, lovely dreams and no aches and pains. My latex pillows always take some time to get rid of the “Smell” before I can sleep on them. Not true with the Classic Essentia. I slept on it from the first night I received it and noticed no latent smell. My overall opinion? Better than almost all other pillow I have slept on and equivalent to my latex pillow.

I like the SwayBack pillow because it is suitable for children and sleepers
I would like the Forma because I sleep on my side and back and this looks like it will provide perfect support.
I would love the Ergonomic for my neck. I have had a sharp neck pain every morning for the past few days.
I like the Ergonomic pillow. I sleep on my side so it is perfect.
Thanks for the chance.
I like the Comfort pillow because I am a stomach sleeper.
Thanks for the chance.
at first i thought about the classic pillow, but then i see the comfort one and seems you can shape it to what you like instead of the forming to just where or how you lay.i really need a new pillow,i bought a feather pillow few years back and i jhave no clue how to clean it,so i went got the walmart pillows that are 2 for $5 and well they are now flat as pan cake.
I would love to have the Ergonomic pillow. I have one now but it is not a memory foam. My mattress is memory foam and it’s a dream to sleep on. All I can say is I NEED (2 spine surgeries!) the ergonomic design and to have it in memory foam would be AWESOME.
Being a side sleeper, I would have to say the forma spa looks most appealing. It’s hard to pillow shop online though!
I like the Classic because it helps ease the stiffness in the morning.
He classic would be my favorite since it is memory foam but I would also love to have the travel pillow for long trips.
I like the Classic; its material molds itself to body shape to evenly distribute head and neck weight, reducing pressure that often causes stiffness, poor sleep, and pain. Since I hit menopause my sleep has been fitful, and I often wake up with stiffness in my hips all the way up to my neck.
I like the Forma Spa because it is breathable.
My fave pillow would have to be the Forma Spa.
I really like the travel pillow because I fly frequently and take long rides and this pillow would help reduce the stress on my neck.
The Ergonomic is my favorite because it is designed for ultimate neck support and occasionally I wake up with a stiff neck and the discomfort lingers all day long. I would love to be rid of that problem!
I’d like the Comfort pillow, it looks fluffy enough for me and seems like it wouldn’t lose it’s shape like my pillows always do.
I like the Ergonomic, I am a side sleeper.
I like the ergonomic since that’s the style of pillow I like the most.
I like the Ergonomic pillow. I use a pillow under my knees and the shape of this one would be great!
the forma spa is my choice im a side sleeper just hope my husband doesnt steal it from me
