Wouldn’t you appreciate a NATURAL Memory Foam Pillow?
Essentia Classic Pillow Review
Essentia Classic Pillow $199
For this Essentia Classic pillow review, I was provided samples for review.
The Chief Blonde Remarks: I was sent an Essentia Classic Pillow for review. I currently sleep on a Latex Pillow so I was excited to contrast the Essentia Classic pillow to my own. The Essentia Classic pillow is made from Natural Memory Foam. Essentia and Tempur-pedic are the only Natural Memory Foam pillow producers in the North America.
What is NATURAL memory foam?
Essentia Natural Memory Foam is is made using hevea milk (rubber tree sap). It feels like the memory foam we all know and love, but it’s made without the gunk. Gunk you say? Yes, other memory foam manufactures claim to have eco memory foam, plant-based foam or containing natural properties, boasting green tea memory foam, Bio-Pur memory foam or soy memory foam. But alas, as noted by Essentia, in all cases, petroleum based foam is used, with 2-15% of the petroleum being replaced with soy or cedar oil, allowing the product to be promoted as “natural” or “eco-friendly”. Not very “Natural” in my book.
Latex Pillows versus Natural Memory Foam Pillows?
Latex mattresses are known for being durable, natural and healthy. Memory foam mattresses are known for their pressure relief and comfort…but are full of gunk. That’s why Essentia invented a natural memory foam. Essentia has an extensive discussion on this topic over on their website which I found fascinating. Yes, it’s a discussion presented by the manufacturer of Natural Memory Foam. I found it to be quite balanced. Read: What’s better, Latex or Memory Foam Mattresses?
My final weigh in of Natural Memory Foam versus Latex
I love my Latex pillow. I have had one since I was tiny due to my excessive allergies to feather pillows. When I tried the Essentia Classic Pillow, I was dubious. The Classic pillow is made from 100% Natural Memory Foam, weighs in at 5 pounds, and is designed to mold itself to your exact body shape to evenly distribute head and neck weight, reducing pressure that often causes stiffness, poor sleep, and pain. Essentia Products are made in Canada
Each night when I slept on the pillow, I had a hard time going to sleep. It was not “My” pillow so I think it took some time to develop a comfortable relationship with it. On the flip side, each morning I woke up from a deep sleep, lovely dreams and no aches and pains. My latex pillows always take some time to get rid of the “Smell” before I can sleep on them. Not true with the Classic Essentia. I slept on it from the first night I received it and noticed no latent smell. My overall opinion? Better than almost all other pillow I have slept on and equivalent to my latex pillow.

The Classic. It evenly distributes neck and head weight which would be helpful with the tension in my neck I always wake up with after sleeping
the comfort pillow because I wake up with a stiff neck.
i like the classic because it made from natural memory foam and shapes to your body.
forma spa.
I’d select the Swayback. It says it is perfect for kids, so I think it would be ideal to have when one of my little grandkids has a sleepover at my house.
The SwayBack is my favorite ,because I am a back sleeper, and don`t like big pillows,,I like them kinda flat,,lol,,this one seems like a good fit for me 😉
The comfort pillow cause my pillow feels like a brick from the Indy 500 track!
any of the foam pillows.. I like them because they are better for my neck.
I think I would like the Forma Spa pillow the best because of the description of how it is breathable and states it is good for side sleepers = I am a side sleeper so it sounds perfect which is hard to find in a pillow.
I like the Classic pillow, I always get a poor sleep and says that’s what it’s good for!
I like the Ergonomic because the shape is the best.
I like the ergonomic pillow. I wake up with a stiff neck quite often and I hope this pillow will help.
Travel! I am on the go alot and would love a comfortable pillow to help ease long travel time
I really like the Ergonomic or the Swayback because I’m a back/side sleeper and I tend to get kind of achy in the mornings, so this would be seriously helpful.
I like the Ergonomic pillow because I sleep on my back and side. It looks really comfortable.
I like the forma pillow it would be good for myself im a side sleeper I don’t like sweaty pillows lol
Believe it or not the travel pillow is my favorite. I have one now and I use it to sleep every night. It takes care of the ‘gap’ between my neck and spine. Unfortunately it is getting old and I have recently had to tape it up…time for a new one. At least now I know where to get it! 😉
I’d like the Comfort pillow. I sleep on my stomach and I think the flatter shape with the shredded latex would make it ideal for being able to shape it in the right way for me.
I like the Classic pillow, because I like how it molds itself to your exact body shape.
I like the Forma Spa pillow; it is designed for side/back sleepers and that’s me.
