Wouldn’t you appreciate a NATURAL Memory Foam Pillow?
Essentia Classic Pillow Review
Essentia Classic Pillow $199
For this Essentia Classic pillow review, I was provided samples for review.
The Chief Blonde Remarks: I was sent an Essentia Classic Pillow for review. I currently sleep on a Latex Pillow so I was excited to contrast the Essentia Classic pillow to my own. The Essentia Classic pillow is made from Natural Memory Foam. Essentia and Tempur-pedic are the only Natural Memory Foam pillow producers in the North America.
What is NATURAL memory foam?
Essentia Natural Memory Foam is is made using hevea milk (rubber tree sap). It feels like the memory foam we all know and love, but it’s made without the gunk. Gunk you say? Yes, other memory foam manufactures claim to have eco memory foam, plant-based foam or containing natural properties, boasting green tea memory foam, Bio-Pur memory foam or soy memory foam. But alas, as noted by Essentia, in all cases, petroleum based foam is used, with 2-15% of the petroleum being replaced with soy or cedar oil, allowing the product to be promoted as “natural” or “eco-friendly”. Not very “Natural” in my book.
Latex Pillows versus Natural Memory Foam Pillows?
Latex mattresses are known for being durable, natural and healthy. Memory foam mattresses are known for their pressure relief and comfort…but are full of gunk. That’s why Essentia invented a natural memory foam. Essentia has an extensive discussion on this topic over on their website which I found fascinating. Yes, it’s a discussion presented by the manufacturer of Natural Memory Foam. I found it to be quite balanced. Read: What’s better, Latex or Memory Foam Mattresses?
My final weigh in of Natural Memory Foam versus Latex
I love my Latex pillow. I have had one since I was tiny due to my excessive allergies to feather pillows. When I tried the Essentia Classic Pillow, I was dubious. The Classic pillow is made from 100% Natural Memory Foam, weighs in at 5 pounds, and is designed to mold itself to your exact body shape to evenly distribute head and neck weight, reducing pressure that often causes stiffness, poor sleep, and pain. Essentia Products are made in Canada
Each night when I slept on the pillow, I had a hard time going to sleep. It was not “My” pillow so I think it took some time to develop a comfortable relationship with it. On the flip side, each morning I woke up from a deep sleep, lovely dreams and no aches and pains. My latex pillows always take some time to get rid of the “Smell” before I can sleep on them. Not true with the Classic Essentia. I slept on it from the first night I received it and noticed no latent smell. My overall opinion? Better than almost all other pillow I have slept on and equivalent to my latex pillow.

I like the Comfort pillow because it looks like a traditional pillow and comfortable.
I like the Forma Spa because it’s designed for side and back sleepers and thats me 🙂
Definitely ergonomic! I really need good neck support. Right now I have two makeshift pillows trying to do the job.
My favorite pillow is the Forma Spa. I’m a side sleeper so this would be perfect for the support I need.

I like the classic pillow because I don’t need anything extra when I sleep
I would pick the Ergonomic pillow, I have never tried an Ergonomic pillow before and would love to she how it feels
Forma Spa pillow is my fave because i am a side sleeper and have neck pain quite often
The Forma Spa looks like it would work best for me. I like the gentle contour that is not too harsh on the neck.
I would choose the comfort pillow. I sleep on my stomach and I think the other pillows would be to firm for me.
I would like the Forma Spa because it is for side and back sleepers and offers light neck support.
I like the SwayBack pillow because I prefer thinner pillows 🙂
I would like to try the Classic. I always get a little nervous trying new pillows because I get neck aches and migraines so easily! This Classic seems like it would the most beneficial for my neck…plus I’m a side sleeper and it accommodates that very well.
I would love the ergonomic, I have a lot of neck problems and pain, this would probably help that a lot!
I like the Ergonomic pillow because I am a side sleeper.
Thanks!
They all look comfy the ergonomic pillow is my favorite only because I use to have a similar type of pillow and it was amazing!
Forma Spa would be the one for me! Proper neck support is something I need, but pillows are often too hot even if they support properly. This one has ventilation – which I would really appreciate having.
My favorite is the Forma Spa pillow because it’s good for side and back sleepers.
The comfort one is my fave because I prefer the classic shape to the ergonomic one.
I would love the Classic pillow because i have problems with my neck and this pillow molds itself to your exact body shape to evenly distribute head and neck weight. My I can wake up with out being in so much pain in my neck. This pillow sounds great. I might be buying one for my husband for Christmas.
The Forma Spa is my favorite because it looks comfy for me since I’m a side sleeper.
