Does Smile Brilliant Work?

August 9, 2014 By Shelley Zurek 186 Comments

Can I REALLY Whiten at Home?

Does Smile Brilliant Work

The Chief Blonde is wearing Blank Denim Romper ($110), NY and Company Belt (similar), Jeffrey Campbell Laramie Lace Up Sandal (were $175, now on sale for $57!)

I have always wanted to whiten at home, should I?

As you know, on this blog I am always posing in some outfit or other. I want to look my very best and that includes my teeth. True Confession: I have never whitened them before! No really –Never. But I have always wanted to whiten them via the dentist, but it’s so expensive.

But I have concerns about home whitening:

  • Is it too hard?
  • Is it safe?
  • Will it work?
  • Will my teeth be too sensitive?
  • Is it STILL expensive?

I’ll bet you have all these same questions as well.

Smile Brilliant sent me a package so I could whiten at home and let you know the answers to those questions. Watch this 2 minute video to understand the process. It was really that easy for me too!

Here’s a little summary so you can see the steps of how to Use Smile Brilliant:

Does Smile Brilliant Work

How much does Smile Brilliant cost?

The rep I worked with said that you needed to do several applications of the product in order to get stubborn stains out and see results. Luckily, the 3 syringe package I was sent you is good for 9 total applications, not just 2-3. Each syringe is good for 3 applications, so you will use 1/3 of a syringe per application. Each application is both top and bottom tray PLUS your whitening trays for $119.  Additional whitening kits are $34 for 3 more syringes (about 9 applications), your trays are reusable…Yeah! I would also highly recommend getting the desensitizing gel, 3 tubes are $19.95…the whitening DOES tend to hurt without this gel.

So basically for $140 versus $100s at the dentist.  After that, its just $34 for 3 more syringes/9 applications!

So how did Smile Brilliant work for me?

Does Smile Brilliant Work? Here’s my results. The pictures don’t show it as well as I would like, but I felt my teeth were several shades whiter and the stains were definitely GONE! I experienced only mild pain during whitening as I used the desensitizing gel. Two of my four front teeth are veneers so I can’t expect those to whiten (need them replaced and already have an appointment in place.) I felt the cost was reasonable for what I achieved, especially given that I am 52 and have never whitened my teeth before. The process was very fast and the directions were super simple to follow.

I have those same questions about products. It’s scary putting something on your teeth, and you don’t want to spend a lot to just try it. Glad it was easy to use. It’s Smile Power Day! Smile brilliantly! 🙂

My favorite feature of the system is the set of custom dental models.

Although I do love the idea of the custom trays and the 30 day satisfaction guarantee, my favorite feature of the Smile Brilliant system is the professional teeth whitening gel – Dentist-strength 22% Carbamide Peroxide. I can only imagine this to work much better than current on the shelf products.
