Synopsis:

It’s the most mythic of all American emporiums – a one-of-a-kind Manhattan institution where over the last century, the view of fashion has been transformed into modern art.  But behind Bergdorf Goodman’s magical window displays lies a very real world where the rich and famous wield their power and eccentricity, where young and talented designers have their dreams granted and denied, and where money and ambition co-mingle with radical ideas of beauty and provocative style.  Now, for the first time, audiences get a chance to peek inside this world, as Matthew Miele’s Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf’s explores the history, inner workings and untold stories behind the store’s rise from a modest ladies’ tailor shop to a mirror of contemporary culture.
Release Date: May 3, 2013 in New York City, other cities to follow
stillblondeThe Chief Blonde Remarks: I couldn’t be more excited to see this if I tried.  The Trailer looks amazing.  I think this is one movie you will want to be sure to catch on the big screen!
Meanwhile follow the excitement on the Facebook page.  Fingers crossed they fly me to the NYC premiere!

When: Film opens on demand and digital platforms on April 16th and in theatersMay 17th

Linda can’t stand the thought of Jason giving up on his dreams so she decides to mount his play – a dark, angst-ridden, ambitious work – as a Kingston High School production, with flamboyant drama teacher Carl Kapinas (Nathan Lane) directing.

As Linda, now well out of her normal comfort zone, takes further risks in life and love, the stage is set for highly comic downfall. With the play, her reputation, and her teaching career on the line, Linda finds an unlikely ally in herself. Amidst the ruins of her formerly perfect life, can she find a way to her own unique storybook ending?

You know, I guess I won’t be seeing any of these. I am still in the stage of watching animated and family flicks with my daughter. I am looking at watching “Lincoln” this weekend.

What a great idea to focus on people “of a certain age.” I am only one year from officially joining your crowd. The Company You Keep looks like a must see for me.

I currently have The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel taped on my DVR. I can’t remember who all is in it, but it has an older cast and looks really good.

I also love watching Hot In Cleveland. I believe that all of the women on that TV show are older than 45. 🙂 Susan Lucci also guest stars occasionally.

I’m kind of looking forward to The Company You Keep, though I am not a Shia fan, I do love Robert Redford. I really think this could be a surprise sleeper this year!

The company you keep looks rather interesting, but I absolutely love Julianne Moore, so I’m leaning more towards the English teacher.

Well I don’t really like to think of anyone scattering my ashes…at least not for a few years yet…but that movie sounds like it will be really good.

The others will probably be ok too.

I have to say Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf’s because one of the stars is my very fav & funny woman, JOAN RIVERS. At 79, she is vivacious, energetic and forever hilarious!
