Christmas Eve Meals, Cook them up Quick

We have always done our presents with our children on Christmas eve.  This allows us some needed family time. We often go to church, come home, eat, read the Christmas Story, open presents, and then have dessert.  As this is a celebration for me as well as the family, the meal is usually simple or take out, so that I don’t have to do a bunch of extra work.

With just the two of us and both of us working, it’s hard to have the energy to cook a meal but we don’t want to go out every night. These look like the perfect size for us.

They even have a Jambalaya…celebrate a late Mardi Gras, and the fact that today is National Frozen Foods Day. I like all the options taht Contessa offers. Frozen foods have come a long way and Contessa sounds like a brand that keeps up with the changing. Great variety. An easy, convenient way to taste the world….maybe even cook like a worldly chef.

Happy Chinese New Year! This would be a great day to celebrate with a World Cuisine Meal. They look really good, too. We enjoy having stir-frys and will sometimes make them with a meal like this. I have never tried Contessa, but they look colorful and fresh tasting. Enjoy and I hope you get to relax and celebrate something today.
