IT’S SPRING! Here’s some of my choices!
I am lucky to be able to work with Shopbop through the years! Pieces purchased previously or provided by Shopbop include: Picture #1 leather and tweed skirt (); Picture #2 Lace/eyelet Jumpsuit (); Picture #3 romper and suede sandals (romper similar, sandals ;Picture #4 Stripe Dress ().
Spring Clothing Tips!
You know how I love spring! It means NO MORE WINTER. Where I live though, it’s still chilly so I have to make my clothing choices wisely. When one of my favorite stores has a big spring sale, I like to pick up classic winter pieces that I can wear next fall, warm spring-like pieces that I can wear RIGHT NOW, and truly spring pieces that I can wear around May and then right into summer.
At a store I love (like Shopbop), I favorite my most loved pieces as I find them, waiting patiently for a sale. The best way to purchase is to buy sale items on sale! I do have to be willing to lose some of my chosen pieces though…as many popular items sell out before a sale comes along. That’s okay! A great store (like Shopbop) always has so much to choose from.
The Chief Blonde’s Spring Picks
Kooples Lace Zipper Blouse $215 (sold out, ), $88, $75, $25.
I am loving the lace blouse above for my spring picks because I think it will add a feminine touch to jeans. The next two dresses will be so cute paired with a great denim jacket or cardi. The vneck tee will go with everything for summer, it’s classic.
$12, $100, $329,SALE $77.
My dad has fallen for mug cakes so I grabbed that book for him. I am crossing my fingers that the Sam Edelman pink sandals are as cute on as in the picture, I think I will be able to pair them with so many things this summer. I bought the Needle and Thread dress in hopes of wearing it to a OPAL ball that I have coming up–fingers crossed it fits. I have been stalking this Madewell sweater for ages, it comes in white as well.
$85,$74,$48, $139.
The lace dress above is my definition of a summer dress…I hope my arms look okay but I can always pair it with a little cardi or shrug, RIGHT? The next dress is a wild card…but I just couldn’t pass it up because it was on sale and then I got to save another 25% so I had to take a shot. I know I will wear the striped tee on repeat all summer long and won’t it look cute with a little black leather jacket this spring and fall? Finally, those Kate Spade shoes…gahh. No more to say.

Is it wrong for me to say on this fashion page that the item I’m most drooling over is the book on mug cakes? LOL. I guess that shows where my priorities are! (Cute clothes, too, although I’m not the biggest fan of lace. I’ve grown quite tired of it.)
That Mug Cake book is divine. My daughter went crazy over it. Shelley
Lightweight and lighter colors are great for spring. Those dresses are so cute. I bet your arms looked great in that dress, but I worry about that on me, too. Spring and summer are great to toss out the shoes and wear sandals. It’s Flip Flop Day so hope your weather is good for them.
Gorgeous outfits!
I love the chambray romper with the suede sandals! It is so cute!
Really like the lace zipper blouse. Ok I think it would look awesome on my daughter not sure how it would on me (love to try it though)
I was not familiar with Shopbop until now. Looks like they have very cute clothes and I will be checking them out! Thank you for sharing!
I love that eyelet jumpsuit you’re wearing with the blue jacket.
Love the outfit that’s in the first photo. I think it is gorgeous.
Love them! I definitely need to think younger & enjoy some of these cute outfits. Thanks for the tips
i love the options
Very cute clothes. I have lost over 25 pounds but I still need to lose a few more to look as good as you do in them.
Really cute ideas for a new outfit!
I like your Spring picks. My favorite one is the denim romper and suede sandels.
Lovely outfits! Where did you find a telephone booth? Thanks for sharing!
