Checking Out Fall Festivals in Janska Bella Coat

September 7, 2015 By Shelley Zurek 403 Comments

Bella Bella

Janska Bella Coat Still Blonde after all these YEARS

I am Janska’s First Ambassador and love the opportunity to receive a gorgeous coat each month to show you and give you an opportunity to win one for yourself! The Chief Blonde is wearing the Janska Bella Coat ($224), Mother Tucker Compression Leggings (reviewed here), and ($84)

Janska Bella Coat (It’s True)

Bella is related to the Italian and Latin words for beauty. It is also related to the name Belle, which means beauty in French. According to the Urban Dictionary, Belle means the most beautiful girl/thing you will ever see. Every feature that she/it possesses is engraved in your mind from the second you lay eyes on her/it.

And isn’t that true of this coat?

Where I live in Michigan, there are so many fall festivals. There are numerous apple festivals, many art and crafts shows, and even a few early evening concerts. Walt and I like to hit as many as we can. For the first time this year, we’ll be visiting Art Prize in Grand Rapids.  For 19 days, art entries from all over the world cover three square miles of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan—and it’s all free and open to the public.

Guess which coat I am wearing to Art Prize? Yes, that’s right. This beautiful Janska Bella Coat. As you can see it’s reversible and machine washable (with a slob like me, that’s a real bonus). But I also love that it has a generous hood, if rain sneaks up on us. The inseam pockets welcome a mini umbrella. This coat is mid-thigh so it hits at just the right length for pants or over a dress. Oh and it’s fun to twirl in:

As always, you will love Janska Bella because it’s made in the US of  American-Milled, Cross-Dyed (50% Poly/50% Nylon), DWR Treated Fabric. Sizes run XS-XL and the Janska Bella comes in 4 colors (Purple/Lavender  (shown in this post), Blue/Black, Gray/Black, and Red/Black.

I will be reviewing one of these magnificent jackets in October. Which one would YOU like to see? The Melissa Coat or the Jackie Coat?

I would like to win sherpa mittens because they look so warm and comfortable. We never have enough gloves and mittens!

This is a hard decision. My top three are the “Jackie” because I love an A line as it is flattering and the princess seams also flatter the body. I also love the “Roxie” I love how you can use the snaps to close and either use the belt to cinch your waist or not. I also love that it is wind and water repellant. My final favorite is the “Madison” I love that it is reversable so I can get more use out of it. Another A line coat which I love but this one even has the hood. I live on the Gulf Coast so these would not only be great for fall, but could be used a lot during the winter and spring months.

I’d like to win the “Gilda vest” for fall because I could put a variety of layers under it depending upon the temperature.

I would have to choose the Durango jacket in plaid. I waffled between it and the one you reviewed, but ultimately went with the Durango because it looked warm and cozy enough for fall as well as winter.

I really like the Roxie Jacket because you tie it at the waist. I love jackets that give shape instead of being bulky on me!
