The Big Book of Bacon, 100 Best Bacon Recipes

November 12, 2014 By Shelley Zurek 143 Comments

MMMM Bacon!  The Big Book of Bacon
The Big Book of Bacon

THE BIG BOOK OF BACON: Savory Flirtations, Dalliances, and Indulgences with the Underbelly of the Pig, by Jennifer Pearsall; November 4, 2014, 2014; $19.95; ISBN: 9781629145556

WHAT? 100 Best Bacon Recipes

I received written by Jennifer L. S. Pearsall to review and enjoy. Can I just say, this is something a bacon lover cannot put down. LIKE EVER!  I mean just look at the recipes

Satisfy your craving for this “candy meat” with dishes that spotlight bacon (like our Mushroom Swiss Burger), and others that use it as subtle, rich flavor enhancer (like the tart Cherry Tomato Pasta made with nutty zucchini and creamy Provolone sauce). You’ll learn how to cook a slice properly, how to navigate brand thickness and choice, and even how to make a Bacon Bowl! YES, I you read that right!  A BACON BOWL!  Here’s another recipe from the book that I am dying to make:

Alright, now I know you have an idea of the delectable recipes in this 271 page full color book.  You will love the heavyweight coated stock used to make the book and the oversized format. Every recipe has tips and tricks that help you understand the nuances behind each recipe.  There are photos galore, which is a must for me when using a cookbook.  And well…MMMMM BACON!

Amazon doesn’t sell this book very well, but your review is awesome. I love that it’s full of great bacon recipes. My husband and I are huge bacon fans (who isn’t!?) and would have a wonderful time making and trying these recipes.

I love cookbooks, and I love bacon! What could be better? A bacon cookbook…it looks like a great one, with almost 300 pages of recipes. Since my Mom and my two sisters also collect cookbooks (like me), this would be so awesome to be able to give them all one of these cookbooks.
