Since Pantone named “Beveled Glass” as a top color contender for Spring/Summer 2015, playful shades of Mint have been seen on fashion runways, celebrity style icons, streetwear fashionistas and beauty fanatics alike. Walt and I decided to join the trend when my dad stopped by on his way to a family “Jam” session, with his own take on “beveled glass”, his 1951 Plymouth.
Walt often takes my photos, as you know. This time we hooked my dad into taking the shots so we could get “Minty” together.
Do you have a TALL guy in your life? Walt is 6’6″ and he has a super tough time finding clothes that fit but don’t cost a fortune. We discovered Kohl’s carries Men’s Tall Sizes (and lots of Big Man sizes too!). Look at this ever so handsome IZOD shirt he has on. I love it because it’s so soft and the color is great on him, he loves it that I love it. LOL!
It wasn’t hard to find a zillion beveled glass aka. mint colored items at Kohl’s online. The hardest thing was choosing what not to get.

I did order quite a bit, (because you know Kohl’s shipping is free over $75) and then I was able to try on all the different choices with my own shoes. I finally settled on the gorgeous maxi above and this cute polka dot number below.

Aren’t these great looks on Walt? It’s so fun to see him in clothes that fit. The Tall Men clothing available at Kohl’s has been a real lifesaver for his wardrobe. He is so very handsome and now all his clothes will be too! Thanks Kohl’s!

The ASICS GEL-Cumulus 17 Women’s Running Shoes look really comfortable. I like that they’re bright, but not neon.

Tough choice!…but…if I can only pick one, Id start with the Relic Bleeker Tote. I have a *thing* for handbags and I think this style is pretty versatile. I love the mint color, too…reminds me of the appliances in my grandparents kitchen and my grandfather’s ’56 Chevy. I wear a lot of browns and taupes and creams, and I think this color gives a pop to a color wave that can be bland if not accessorized thoughtfully.
I like the Sonoma crewneck tee. It would look great with a pair of jeans for casual wear.
I love the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Dainty Sneakers For Women! And what a great price for them! They look so comfy…I could wear those all day!

The Candies Nicole Floral Backpack is my favorite because it has a beautiful pattern. My daughter has a dress with the same pattern and i love it.

Well, I just spent too much time browsing the Mint items at Kohl’s! But I did find one top I really like, the Women’s Columbia Space-Dye Mockneck Hoodie, which comes is a lot of pretty colors, including Candy Mint. I like the neckline, which sets this comfortable-looking jacket apart and makes it more appropriate for a woman of (ahem) my age.
Walt – You and Shelley are a great looking couple and I would love to see more couple’s shots! 😉
