Bake Me a Wish Freedom Cake + Cookies Review

August 8, 2013 By Shelley Zurek 275 Comments

How’d you Like Some Cookies with that Cake?

Bake Me a Wish Cookies

Bake Me a Wish carries gourmet cookies in  Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Raisin, Lemon Sugar, Ginger Molasses, Snickerdoodle and Almond Butter (2 Dozen $35)

Birthday or any Occasion, Cake AND Cookies!

How exciting is birthday cake?  Or cake at any time? I remember when I was little, my mom used to let us pick the kind of cake she would bake for our special day!

Oh yeah, the Chief Blonde holds her 9th b-day Sponge Cake with pink frosting.  (circa 1970). Love those Bangs!

My mom always had cookies in the “Cookie Box”, a different kind each time she made new ones.  We always had 3-4 cookies in our lunchbox and then could have more for a snack when we came home from school. Those were the days!

They couple that with their nationwide service for delivery of gourmet birthday cakes.  Imagine cakes and cookies made with only the finest, freshest ingredients delivered to yours or your loved ones door overnight. Guess what?  You can even buy these lovelies in a bakery combo from Bake me a Wish!  Mmmmm!

Bakery Combos

Bakery Combos with one Cake and 1/2 to 2 dozen bakery items range from $60-$100.

I have to admit, I loved the Cookies that Bake Me a Wish sent to me especially the Ginger Molasses! Oh my word!

Honor a Soldier while you Celebrate

Bake Me a Wish! also sells a Freedom Cake for birthdays, anniversary or any special Occasion! When you purchase the Freedom Cake for a recipient here in the US, Bake Me A Wish! will deliver a gourmet cake to a soldier serving overseas, in the name of your recipient. Each cake features a special card informing the recipient that a cake has been sent to a soldier in their name, alongside an imprint of the American Flag.

Bake Me a Wish Freedom Cake

The Chief Blonde’s Husband, Walt, celebrates his birthday with a Bake Me A Wish Freedom Cake

Not only did I feel great about the fact a service person would receive the same cake that I got for Walt for his birthday,  but the Freedom Cake itself ( a layer of deluxe chocolate brownie, covered in crushed OREO cookies, drizzled with white and dark chocolates and an avalanche of sprinkles adorning the top) was stunningly delicious!

My favorite has to be the Viennese Coffee Cake – Cinnamon. I can’t get enough cinnamon coffee cake. This is the perfect amount of cake and sweetness.

I like Lime Gingham Glovables Apron…like that it’s made with oilcloth and the gingham print is both cheery and hides spills!

“Red Velvet Chocolate Cake “, because it reminds me of My Mom’s cake that she use to bake. Oh the delicious memories and delight in coming home to this cake.

Well I have a problem now. I cannot decide between the Triple Chocolate Enrobed Brownie Cake or the Vanilla Bean Cake. Both sound so good. I am a huge chocolate lover and triple the fun sounds wonderful. But I also enjoy vanilla and I’ve never had a vanilla cake before so the Vanilla Bean cake has my attention as well. Flip of a coin?
