Birthday or any Occasion, Cake AND Cookies!
How exciting is birthday cake? Or cake at any time? I remember when I was little, my mom used to let us pick the kind of cake she would bake for our special day!
Oh yeah, the Chief Blonde holds her 9th b-day Sponge Cake with pink frosting. (circa 1970). Love those Bangs!
My mom always had cookies in the “Cookie Box”, a different kind each time she made new ones. We always had 3-4 cookies in our lunchbox and then could have more for a snack when we came home from school. Those were the days!

The Chief Blonde’s Husband, Walt, celebrates his birthday with a Bake Me A Wish Freedom Cake
Not only did I feel great about the fact a service person would receive the same cake that I got for Walt for his birthday, but the Freedom Cake itself ( a layer of deluxe chocolate brownie, covered in crushed OREO cookies, drizzled with white and dark chocolates and an avalanche of sprinkles adorning the top) was stunningly delicious!
