Back to the Bricks with a Blonde and Her Boys

April 28, 2017 By Shelley Zurek

Brighten up and Get Back to the Bricks

Today’s discussion on ” Back to the Bricks with a Blonde and her Boys ” is sponsored by Clorox®.  All opinions and recommendations come from little ole me.

The Chief Blonde enjoys a scorching hot day at Back to the Bricks Drive-In Theater car event.

Back to the Bricks is a summer car event that takes place in Flint, Michigan and surrounding areas. It’s a real thrill for car enthusiasts (like me!) There are two build up weeks with wonderful promo tours and car shows all over Michigan. The Back to the Bricks main five-day extravaganza begins with a family-oriented party at a nostalgic Drive-In theater which I attended with my dad and Walt.

We took my dad’s classic rat rod convertible 1961 Thunderbird. Rat rod is a style of hot rod or custom car that, in most cases, imitates (or exaggerates) the early hot rods of the ’40s, ’50s, and early-’60s. Most rat rods appear “unfinished”, regardless of their status, as only the vehicle’s bare essentials are driven. These are built to drive, not exclusively for show.

If you think my dad’s rat rod looks unfinished on the outside…you should see the inside. It’s really dirty and tore up, especially the back seat where I rode (we put down a sheet to protect the great dress I wore that day). My dad is working hard on getting it cleaned up and restored but the work in-between is pretty crazy labor intensive and dirty.

At Back to the Bricks, Walt found the perfect faux wood paneled station wagon to take our whole gang to Wally World.

Sick of being cooped up inside after the long hard winter months? Get out there this spring and check out this beautiful season – with its auto shows, shiny hot rods and warm weather! It’s time to rev up your engine, wash and shine your best auto, and get out on the road with your family.  Do you love cars shows, Sunday drives, and road trips? Stay bright, boost your look, and get out there for spring.

Grab your family and pile them into the car so they can experience the wind in their hair and the sun on their back. Don’t have a rat rod convertible like my dad? No matter what it is you choose to do outdoors, you can enjoy being active and making memories with family without fear of staining or ruining your clothing using Clorox 2® Stain Remover & Color Booster.

I love wearing brighter colors and sun dresses in the spring time and Clorox 2® can help to keep spring clothes looking vibrant and good as new with every wash and helps them last longer as well, thereby extending the life of your wardrobe.

I sweat a lot in the summer too, sometimes staining my lighter colored sundress. EWWW!  What’s a girl to do? I recommend to pre-treat stains with Clorox 2® Stain Remover & Color Booster to get more out of your laundry. It removes four times more stains than detergent alone! Here’s another wardrobe extending tip: Use Clorox 2®  to pre-treat set-in stains you thought would be there forever – even ones that have been through the dryer!

NOT SURE HOW CLOROX 2 CAN HELP YOU WITH YOUR WARDROBE?
