911: Women over 45, Never ever forget!

September 11, 2012 By Shelley Zurek 33 Comments

911–It was Simply Horrible!

Sept. 11 Was horrible. Is there another word that encapsulates the day? The most terrifyingly awful day!  I had lived through many awful days, the day the President was shot..two of them.  The day the pope was shot.  The day John Lennon was shot.  The day that Princess Diana died.  The day the space shuttle blew up.  The day my marriage blew up.  Nothing compared, for me,  to the day that 3000 Americans perished.    Women over 45 have seen so many tragedies during their lifetime.   I will Never Ever forget! Will you?

911 never ever forget

Join me in pausing today and remembering those who lost their lives to a senseless act.  Also, remember those who lost their lives in trying to save those who were in peril.  I pray that God will bless their families and protect our country from atrocities such as this in the future.

911: What will you remember today?

I was home watching the TV when it happened. I will remember the horror and the smoke. I will remember people not knowing what to do or where to run.

I remember this day very well. I was sitting in a business class when the professor received a msg then turned on the TV to reveal the tragedy. I remembered staying pretty much glued to the TV over the next week in shock!

I will never forget what I saw happen on tv. I was at home and not working . The personal stories and tragedies I will remember. One year before this tragedy my younger sister was married on 9-11. She cannot celebrate that day any more she told me.

9/11 is coming up again. I remember all the people who lost their lives and all the heroes who stepped forward to help those in need.

I just saw where the lady from one of the dust photos died of cancer from the destruction of 9/11. It is sad because that day is still causing victims even today! Prayers for the families and friends and those who are still dealing with that day. My son was young when he saw the news and saw the towers collapse. He has panic attacks when entering large buildings or parking garages.
