Did my Life get too Cluttered?
Blog Note: I have severely disappointed one of my readers, maybe more and I am sorry. I started this declutter challenge back in Jan., 2011. We had 3 months worth of prizes added to the pile and a nice group of readers jumped on board and participated enthusiastically. Then my life took over (one kid graduating high school out of state plus open house, one graduating college, sick mom, another kid moved out, high school senior went to college, 2 kids got licences, a wedding, a bridal shower, yada-yada-yada! ) Anywho, I let the ball drop on this and I am sorry! Especially to my dear reader who is upset with me. But the challenge isn’t ruined yet…we have this month to get caught up!
So Let’s Catch up!
Anyway the deal was, you were supposed to declutter one item everyday for 365 days. Then you were supposed to give your input every month into how you were doing as your entry and I would add a prize to the pile each month. You guys did an awesome job of commenting in the first three months.

Oh yes, I did. I cleaned many closets and also gave away old clothing, dishes, magazines, books-many new ones, samples of things, hats, promotional items. Easily.
I stand in my way sometimes. Too tired, too confused sometimes on if I should keep something, or attachments.
Something of value I will keep instead of keeping cheap junk.
Go through closets especially often and get rid of clothing that you will never really use.
Forgot to add, so store what you only use for winter in boxes and what you won’t use give away.
I probably did not get rid of 365 things this year.
Well, the kids stuff. Their home is too small to take it.
When you are finished with something, put it away right away!
Noone stands in my way with decluttering.
Sorry I answered that question twice. I didn’t know the first answer went through.
No one stands in my way with decluttering.
Two hotspots. My hubby’s office because he goes through the mail there and all the business stuff. Also the kitchen counter because I put things to take to my daughter and SIL and their mail there.
The biggest factor is that it might be sentimental or something someone can use.
I get motivated to declutter when I know I am not so overwhelmed. I declutter a few times a week just so it doesn’t pile up too much!
A storage tip would be to organize everything in groups and in labeled boxes or totes. That way it would be easier to find when you need it.
My bathroom closets. Both were hideous .Know all those free samples you get? Well, they had to go.
My mom and I do. We both cause clutter from time to time.
My favorite decluttering tip is to throw anything you don’t need away or give to charity or have a yard sale with it!
My clutter hotspot again is my pantry. We seem to throw everything unimaginable in there.
My biggest decluttering challenge has been my pantry!
The biggest offender …… hubby who always comes home with something “we might need someday” …..
The BASEMENT! We don’t have an attic per se so EVERYTHING ends up in the basement.
