Did my Life get too Cluttered?
Blog Note: I have severely disappointed one of my readers, maybe more and I am sorry. I started this declutter challenge back in Jan., 2011. We had 3 months worth of prizes added to the pile and a nice group of readers jumped on board and participated enthusiastically. Then my life took over (one kid graduating high school out of state plus open house, one graduating college, sick mom, another kid moved out, high school senior went to college, 2 kids got licences, a wedding, a bridal shower, yada-yada-yada! ) Anywho, I let the ball drop on this and I am sorry! Especially to my dear reader who is upset with me. But the challenge isn’t ruined yet…we have this month to get caught up!
So Let’s Catch up!
Anyway the deal was, you were supposed to declutter one item everyday for 365 days. Then you were supposed to give your input every month into how you were doing as your entry and I would add a prize to the pile each month. You guys did an awesome job of commenting in the first three months.

it’s kinda embarassing, but oh yeah I got rid of 365 things, maybe more…didn’t realize all the extra stuff we had. 🙂
what stands in the way of decluttering is a busy mama and teaching schedule! 😛
biggest factor to keeping something — how much it’s actually used & is helpful!
9. At this point I have not, but by Feb. 12th, I most certainly will have gotten rid of 365 things. The problem is: I’ve probably brought in around 500. what’s a girl to do when she has projects?????
8. i would like to be able to blame s/o else; however, I am more than likely my own worst enemy when it comes to decluttering.
My biggest decluttering issue is our garage-storage…we put everything and anything there and will get to it later.
there are actually two: usefulness and sentimentality
6. that’s easy. i hate the mess and really want things taken care of properly
5. i use professional kitchen racks
4. unfortunately, we both cause clutter. i start projects and my husband drops things where he finishes with them
3. fave decluttering tip is to use contractor bags!!!! much easier
2. my clutter hotspot is my studio b/c it is convenient!
1. my studio. it has been unbearable
My son causes the most clutter in my house. He wants to save EVERYTHING, so it’s always a battle!
My garage is my clutter hotspot, basically because I don’t like to look at clutter, so that keeps it out of sight!
My biggest challenge was moving to a place with not nearly as much storage as the old place!
365 bills and junk mail lol
My husband stands in my way
MY husband always says we might need that someday for something and then we wont have it if we get rid of it..
I havent gotten motivated yet lol
