The Chief Blonde Remarks: Women over 45! (and all our younger friends too!) You will love Michael Simon Clothing with an unsurpassed reputation in the marketplace for allowing women, young or slightly “vintage” to fell modern and unique while wearing Michael Simon! You’ll find fun and novelty in his lines. I received a Pink version of the Michael Simon Clothing Pearl Chanel Cardigan, which you can see in the background here. It is absolutely adorable and to understand the cross generational appeal of the garment, let me just tell you I had to arm wrestle the cardigan away from my 18 year old daughter when I made the mistake of letting try it on. I liked wearing the cardigan with jeans, my daughter preferred it with lace skirts and dresses.

Michael Simon started his fashion career in New York City in 1977, while working as a Ballet Dancer! To make ends meet and working from his studio apartment, he took a job working a handloom knitting machine to produce leggings for the other dancers. Fast forward to Michael deciding making his own weater designs from 1950’s colored wool and selling his loose fitting bright neon colored sweaters to nearly every store and boutique he encounters.Michael Simon designs have now been sold everywhere from Henri Bendel to Charivari as well as trendy boutiques in NYC! As well, Michael hired a troupe of knitters and seamstresses, moving into the garment district. He approach is to hire artists AND designer to keep his fashion focused on fun and art. Michael Simon Clothing have been seen on the cover of such notable fashion Magazines as Women’s Wear Daily as well as featured in Elle, Vogue, In Style, and Glamour.
