Coolibar Review — Give the Gift of Sun Protection

 Resort-2013-collage

Coolibar Review Resort Wear 2013 still blondeThe Chief Blonde Remarks: Welcome to the Coolibar review and giveaway and the Holiday Turkey trot hosted by WIC Project. Heading out out on a tropical vacation to flee the snow and freezing temps this winter?  Make sure you remember the importance of protecting yourself  from harmful UV rays.  The  Coolibar sun-protective lifestyle clothing provides you and your family with great looking sun protective clothing with every piece rated UPF 50+.  I have very light skin and always wear a hat and sun shirt when I am in the sun for any extended period of time.  The sun protection I have worn in the past is a high UPF but it’s UGLY.  I love Coolibar’s clothing because I can be sun-protected at still look stylish and cute! The Coolibar selection of sun-protective clothing is so varied, from dresses and hats to swimwear.  Any member any gender of your family can find the UPF protection they need.  I like that my whole family can go out into the sun and not have to fear sunburns as long as they are wearing Coolibar. I reviewed the Coolibar bright fuchsia swimtop and skort below (Pssst, it’s what you could win if you enter below).  I loved the bright coordinating colors, the lightness of the fabric and quality construction.  As preventing Skin Cancer is one of my causes on this blog, I can’t endorse wearing of sun-protective clothing enough.  Coolibar is recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation…that’s a pretty great endorsement!   Coolibar Review Coolibar Swim Shirt ($55)  and Skort ($65) Our Giveaway today is from Coolibar.  Here’s some Coolibar Facts:

  • All Coolibar clothing is rated UPF 50+, which blocks 98 percent of the UV rays
  • Coolibar is the only company to test every garment to ensure that it has the same level of protection from the first to the last wash
  • Coolibar clothing is the most recommended clothing by the Skin Cancer Foundation
  • Unlike regular clothing, Coolibar provides protection against both UVB (burning rays) and UVA (aging rays) with maximum effectiveness

I really like the Wrap Cover Up Skirt because it is very covering, but still leaving a bit of yours legs open.

I like the Women’s Short-sleeve Swim Shirt because it looks sporty and attractive while offering a lot of coverage and protection. I’d probably choose the pink color.

I like the Print Sun Sarong, this would be awesome for my daughter. She spends so much time and energy making sure my grandkids are protected from the sun and often ends up burned herself.

I like the Swim Skort in navy and the Ruche Swim Shirt in navy and white. I love the plum skort, but there isn’t a matching shirt. I am not sure how the long sleeves would be, but I like the flair at the bottom and the way it scrunches up. It would be a good coverup for a day near or on the water.

I avoid the sun like the plague. A difficult task living in Texas 😛 Didn’t even know this type of clothing existed. Would def. get the long floral sarong. Love the grey background on it too with the bright colors.

My favorites are Short Sleeve Paddle Swim Shirt and Swim Skirt with Shorts in Blue Floral, because it covers your tummy and has a great UPF rating of 50+.
