Coolibar Review — Give the Gift of Sun Protection

 Resort-2013-collage

Coolibar Review Resort Wear 2013 still blondeThe Chief Blonde Remarks: Welcome to the Coolibar review and giveaway and the Holiday Turkey trot hosted by WIC Project. Heading out out on a tropical vacation to flee the snow and freezing temps this winter?  Make sure you remember the importance of protecting yourself  from harmful UV rays.  The  Coolibar sun-protective lifestyle clothing provides you and your family with great looking sun protective clothing with every piece rated UPF 50+.  I have very light skin and always wear a hat and sun shirt when I am in the sun for any extended period of time.  The sun protection I have worn in the past is a high UPF but it’s UGLY.  I love Coolibar’s clothing because I can be sun-protected at still look stylish and cute! The Coolibar selection of sun-protective clothing is so varied, from dresses and hats to swimwear.  Any member any gender of your family can find the UPF protection they need.  I like that my whole family can go out into the sun and not have to fear sunburns as long as they are wearing Coolibar. I reviewed the Coolibar bright fuchsia swimtop and skort below (Pssst, it’s what you could win if you enter below).  I loved the bright coordinating colors, the lightness of the fabric and quality construction.  As preventing Skin Cancer is one of my causes on this blog, I can’t endorse wearing of sun-protective clothing enough.  Coolibar is recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation…that’s a pretty great endorsement!   Coolibar Review Coolibar Swim Shirt ($55)  and Skort ($65) Our Giveaway today is from Coolibar.  Here’s some Coolibar Facts:

  • All Coolibar clothing is rated UPF 50+, which blocks 98 percent of the UV rays
  • Coolibar is the only company to test every garment to ensure that it has the same level of protection from the first to the last wash
  • Coolibar clothing is the most recommended clothing by the Skin Cancer Foundation
  • Unlike regular clothing, Coolibar provides protection against both UVB (burning rays) and UVA (aging rays) with maximum effectiveness

I like the Short Sleeve Paddle Swim Shirt and Women’s Swim Shorts. They look like they would be comfortable and easy to move around in.

I live in a condo with a pool and my kids and I LOVE to spend our weekends and evenings there. One thing that I’ve always wanted is a nice comfy coverup for the pool. The ZnO Beach Henley Dress is great because it’s perfect for the pool but also walking to the local ice cream shop for a treat as well!

I like the short sleeve paddle shirt in the zebra stripe pattern! It’s got just the right amount of pop for me! (and I like the swim capris or the kick flip swim skirt for the bottoms)

I really love the print swim skort. It’s pretty, yet practical, and a whole lot more forgiving or bulges and bumps than any other type of swim wear!

I really like the Swim Capris because I’m typically freezing at the beach in the water. I don’t end up staying in for more than a few minutes because I’m wimpy 🙂

I like the Print Swim Skort in Berry Floral. It’s nice because it looks like a skirt but gives you good coverage while swimming.

I like the short sleeve swimshirt in most styles and colors. I live in a desert and should probably go for the long-sleeve, but I find it to constricting.

I like the printed swim shorts. The skorts would pull and look poorly on me. The shorts would be more comfy and I would fell better in them!

I like the zip front swim shirt with the swim skirt because I like the long shirt for sun protection and the skirt looks comfortable.
