1 Dress 5 Ways! Orvis Spring Collection

April 25, 2016 By Shelley Zurek 99 Comments

OUTDOOR TO ELEGANT

I received complimentary product from Orvis for this review.

ORVIS BLACK FLORENCE DRESS

OUTDOOR STROLLING OR AN ELEGANT DINNER, ONE ORVIS FLORENCE TRAVEL DRESS WILL GET YOU THERE!

Have you heard of Orvis? If you have, you might be thinking “Yeah, I have but I don’t need any outdoor clothes.” I am here to tell you that you need to take a closer look at the new women’s spring line from Orvis. Everything is so cute and versatile. The new Orvis women’s spring collection provides women with function and fashion, focusing on clothing that can be incorporated into your everyday wear.

Take this wonderful ($119), for example, that I styled five ways!

ORVIS BLACK FLORENCE Travel DRESS

The Orvis Florence Travel dress comes in two colors (black and olive), XS to XL.

As a Dress in the Wild West!

ORVIS BLACK FLORENCE DRESS

I paired the Florence Travel Dress with a silk scarf for a belt, a vintage fringe buckskin jacket, tights, mock western boots, a Brighton inspired crossover bag and a faux turquoise and silver necklace. Note how the dress is a perfect neutral against the wild accessories. This is s great example of how easy this dress is to dress down.

Strolling the gardens in a sweater

Who says you can’t wear a dress outside? Here I show how to make the Orvis travel dress a bit more formal. You could wear this outfit sight seeing, to work, or shopping. I like how this popover-style dress has a button-front placket, flap-top pockets, and drawcord cinched waist. Also, the sweater I am wearing is an Orvis sweater from last season that I picked up on sale. The sweater has a gorgeous expensive feel to it and sold me once again on the Orvis clothing line!

Let’s go boating!

ORVIS BLACK FLORENCE DRESS

I styled the Orvis Florence this time as a skirt. Over it I popped a red nautical stripped mid-sleeved Orvis top that I spotted on sale. Can I just say “my favorite top in my closet for spring?”  A blue jean cropped jacket, gold heart thread necklace, gold cuff, leather red bag, vintage pin, tights and quilted boots complete the ensemble. In Michigan, it’s still cold out but the sun is bright. Luckily, this Florence Travel dress has UPF 50 sun protection.

Who says Orvis can’t rev it up?

ORVIS BLACK FLORENCE DRESS

Styling the Orvis travel dress as a blouse was easy. Under this scuba leopard print skirt the dress is like a liner or slip. Can’t you see how well this dress will travel? A leather jacket, high pumps, tights, vintage purse and crazy necklace finishes off this look. The best part about traveling with this dress? It’s machine washable and wrinkle resistant.

Ready for the Avenue

ORVIS BLACK FLORENCE DRESS

Nothing says that Orvis won’t work in the big city either! Look how popping this bright silk coat over the Florence Travel dress adds an air of elegance and sophistication. I paired the look with a vintage clutch, black and silver Mary Janes, rhinestone necklace and earrings and my favorite sunnies! I highly recommend the and the entire .

I really have to play more in my closet and try to come up with more combos. I fall into the trap of wearing the same thing the same way over and over and over….You do a great job with your wardrobe, and I appreciate the inspiration.

Posts like this are great. I really like how you show off different ways to wear the same dress. I know you’ve done these before, and I hope you continue, too. It is great to see how different accessories change the outfit.

That’s a really cute dress! Does it feel bad when you layer a top or skirt over it? That’s what I’d worry about – being uncomfortable.
