“I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Cigna. I received a promotional item as a thank-you for participating.”
My husband is retiring soon so we have been having these discussions about health care for the 2 of us. The 1/2 year check up check list is a good idea to see where we are before the end of the year. We are in the process of creating a budget for our long-term health care.
Great tip thank you
Staying on top of your health is really important. Know the prescriptions you take and your doctors’ names. Good advice on taking advantage of free services. Some clinics even offer classes on eating for certain health problems or exercising. Know your body and trust yourself.
This is really good advice that I have printed out and passed on to some of my church friends and told them to come check out your blog! Thank you for being such an awesome blogger!
I’m disabled and my doctors keep me up to date on my exams and shots. And I try to play a very active role in my health care. But it can’t hurt to do more. Thanks for the tips.
I may be only 32 but I am pretty good about going to the doctor to keep the tests current. Great tips!
What a great post. I am sending it along to my friends. Thank you!
These are some great tips! For me, prevention is key. We have so much cancer in our family that I never miss check ups even by a day. If you stay on top of it, taking care of yourself does not have to be scary!
these are some great tips!

Nice write up and easy to remember w/ the 3 p’s!
I am awful at thinking ahead. I to often take good health for granted and don’t bother with the DR until I am really sick
This is such a useful reminder! Thanks so much for telling us this useful info!
I think the most important tip here is to consider upcoming needs/maintenance, and make a budget!
So smart to plan ahead and think about what you may need so you don’t get caught unprepared with no way to pay for something you will need.
Health care is so critical. I can’t imagine being without it. This is a time when we must not only take care of ourselves, but our brothers’ and sisters’ as well. We need to make it accessible to everyone; so people can enjoy a healthy life!
Thanks for the reminder that I am much too lax in this department. I make sure my kids (even though they are more adult than kids) go to the doctors and get things “checked out”, but me …. well only if I’m “dying”. And since that rarely happens you know where my visits have been ….
I guess its time to put me first in this department too – if nothing else to make sure I am around when my kids “eventually” give me grandkids.
So much useful info and not only for over 45. Thank You
Great advice. I’m pretty good about keeping with my regular exams. However I never really think about those other health care decisions and possible future costs. Something to remind myself of.
Having a day set aside to review all your health care needs and spending is vital.
Great tips to keep in mind. I’m pretty horrible at the planning part. I tend to just kind of take it as it comes. Probably not smart as I creep up on 50. Thanks for the nudge.
