What Sunscreen do Doctors recommend most?
Today’s discussion on “What is the most recommended sunscreen” was sponsored by Blue Lizard, an American sunscreen producer.
This is my handsome son playing outside when he was little. PS. There was no water in the bucket!
What is the Most Recommended Sunscreen by Pediatricians and Dermatologists?
When my kids were little, sunscreen producers only JUST started coming out with sunscreen for babies and kids. SPF levels weren’t very high, if noted at all. We usually put a big shirt on the kids, waited until after the sun went down in the sky a little and hoped for the best as far as sunburns.
Today is a whole new ballgame. There are so many sunscreen formulations, it’s hard to sort it all out. Which one should you choose? Why not pick the sunscreen that doctors prefer?
What is the most recommended sunscreen by pediatricians and dermatologists? Blue Lizard is the brand most recommended by pediatricians and dermatologists. Why? Because their products are not only effective, but their Baby and Sensitive formulas are as safe as a sunscreen formula can be.
The weather in Michigan today was super cloudy. One thing I always wondered about, for myself as a super pale individual or for my children, is do I need to apply sunscreen today?
Blue Lizard answers that question for me by providing the answer right on their bottle. Their patented BPA-free Smart Bottle™ changes colors in the presence of harmful UV rays, reminding you to cover up. Even on this cloudy overcast Michigan day, indications were that sunscreen needed to be applied, all I had to do was look at the bottle!
In the 3 oz. size the lid changes color and in the 5 oz. size the bottle changes color. Isn’t that cool? Even a little child would know just by looking at the bottle that they should be applying their sunscreen. How great would this be for kids going to camp?
Here’s just a few reason why Blue Lizard is recommended by Doctors:
- Blue Lizard is American made (YAH!), but was originally created in Australia where sunscreen standards are the strictest in the world.
- Blue Lizard has five sunscreen formulas available: Baby, Sensitive, Face, Sport & Regular – All are broad spectrum UVA/UVB coverage (SPF 30+)
- Baby & Sensitive Formulas are paraben-free, chemical-free and fragrance-free; Face is also oil-free and all formulations are mineral-based containing Zinc Oxide. (Yeah for fragrance-free you know how much I hate smelly things!) Face is also non-comedogenic, which means it does not block pores!
- Sport & Regular are extremely water resistant. These formulas meet Australian standards of staying on in 240 minutes of whirlpool water.

We have 3 new babies in our family this summer, so my choice would be BLUE LIZARD AUSTRALIAN SUNSCREEN BABY 5 OZ BOTTLE.
I would love the sport sunscreen because it is waterproof. We have a lawn service and sweat all day and this would be perfect.
I would like to try the BLUE LIZARD AUSTRALIAN SUNSCREEN SENSITIVE 8.75 OZ BOTTLE because I have sensitive skin.
I’d love to win the Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen Sport 5.0. It’s 30+ & very water resistant. Sometimes regular sunscreen doesn’t seem like enough living in a tropical climate. I’m very active outdoors and seem to sweat buckets. If it can last 240 minutes in whirlpool water, I’m sure it can handle any activity I throw at it.
I would like to try the face cream as that seems to be the hardest to find good kind for my daughters vitiligo
I would like BLUE LIZARD AUSTRALIAN SUNSCREEN BABY 8.75 OZ BOTTLE because it would be great for camp
I would like the sunscreen sport tube, 3 oz. I think it is a size that I could carry with me when I am out running.
I like the sunscreen for your face which I always try to remember to use
The Sensitive would be great because a couple of us (family of 7) have really sensitive skin.
I would like to win Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen Regular 8.75 oz Bottle because it has a great SPF and the ingredients should be gentle enough for my skin.
I’d like to try the one for faces, because I always wonder if my regular sunscreen is too harsh for my face, because I use it on it anyway.
Face suntan lotion because that seems to be where my kids and myself burn the most easily.
i like the Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen Sport because my son is so active and never stops moving, sweating, swimming, etc. This would be a great product to use on him.
The baby lotion I would choose.
Even the bracelets would be cool to win. A good learning tool for kids
I would love to win the Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen Face 3 oz Tube. I would love to try something specially formulated for face and not meant to lead to breakouts
I have sensitive skin and burn easily. I would like to win the Blue Lizard Australian sensitive sunscreen.
Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen Face 5 oz Bottle because a lot of sunscreens run into your eyes and can be very painful
I would probably go with the sensitive because my whole family has sensitive skin. My next pick would be the baby because that would probably work great too.
id love to try the tube of baby sunscreen! my littlest is incredibly fair skinned and shes going to crisp if we dont slather her down all summer!
