Induction Cooking Defined
For this What is Induction Cooking post, the Chief Blonde was provided a review sample. Thanks Fagor!

What is Induction Cooking?
Considered one the most eco-friendly appliances for its efficiency, induction cooktops use 90% of the energy produced. The energy produced by the cooktop is directly supplied to the cooking vessel by a magnetic field. Self-adjusting burners detect the size of the cookware base and automatically adjust so that very little energy is wasted. Remarkable Induction cooking technology warms only the food and pan – not the cooking surface! There are no open flames or heating elements, so the glass surface remains cool to the touch and is easy to clean. So induction cooking is very safe and efficient!
The Chief Blonde Remarks: The Fagor 2-Piece Induction set that we are giving away today is so perfect for a college student on the go, outdoor cooking, camping, tailgaiting, boating or as an extra party burner. You just need a plug and you are set to cook in an efficient and safe manner. Here’s just a few of the features that I adore:
- Burner shuts off if no cookware is detected on it
- It’s compact! Only weighs 5 pounds
- The 2 pc Induction set from Fagor comes with a pan so you can start cooking right away
- Cool display panel that relates to standard cooking terms
- Cooktop has a digital display and a timer
- The cookware gets hot, but the burner does not (Induction heat!)
I have always wanted to try induction heating, and this is certainly a inexpensive way to start learning. Fagor even has induction recipes that you can use to get started.
I have 4 college students and I know they would all love this kind of cooking as it gets food ready 50% faster (as long as their dorms allow use of induction appliances). Fagor also understands that energy and resource conservation is a major concern for students today and has a company initiative in support of environmental preservation through ultra-efficient products, eco-friendly manufacturing and the use of recycled packaging. That ROCKS in my opinion.

I would so love to have the 3 in 1 Multi-Cooker. I mean is there anything that one little unit can’t do? It is amazing.
I would love to have one of their side by side refridgerators, it has so many great things going on. I bought a new fridge about five years ago, cost as much as a car, broke, that’s right, busted!
While I am so thankful that I currently have a dishwasher, I would love to try and OWN (LOL) Fagor’s Stainless / 8 Wash Cycle Dishwasher. I love the idea of super silence since my dishwasher can be loud. I hate leaving dishes in the dishwasher but with it being just me and my son I don’t get a full load right away. So, I love that you can choose to use the upper rack, lower rack, or both. This would allow me to wash more frequently. And with the ECO Sensor I can reduce water consumption up to 25%, the energy used to heat the water, and the cycle time. Perfection! This piece of machinery would be perfect in my home.
i would love to try them all but the one i really want is the 2 piece induction set i have seen this on tv and have wanted one for awhile
I would like the Platino Slow Juicer so I can get more fruits and veggies in my diet.
I think the 3 in 1 multi cooker would be great to have. Programming up to 9.5 hours and can bbe rice cooker also. The delay timer is a great feature.
i want to try their convection oven
I like the electric pressure cooker. I have always wanted to try a pressure cooker.
I’d love to try the WINE COOLER 24″ DUAL because i LOVE wine!
I would like to try one of their Side by Side REFRIGERATORS.I have had 2 new refrigerators in the past 12 years and neither one has very good.I love all the features on the Fagor brand.
I’d like to try out the 5-piece Cutlery Chef Set. I’ve been needing a good set of knives for quite some time now.
I’d love to get the Dual Technology Digital Toaster Oven. It was on my list for Santa but wasn’t in the budget. I’d love to heat up and cook many things that would be for just the hubby and I and don’t like to have to turn on the oven for just that. Yeah, I know you can use the microwave to heat up food as well but it just doesn’t taste the same.
I like the fagor enamel on steel paella pan.
I’d like to try the 3 in 1 multi cooker.
I would like to try the paella pan. It would be great to make my paella in.
I would like to have the wine cooler. I have a lot of wine bottles just sitting in boxes so this would be nice.
I would like the 24-INCH CONVECTION Oven because I don’t have one.
I actually would try the wine cooler because yesterday i was just telling my parents how i have no room in the fridge for all of my wine from the local vineyard. plus of all things i would want as a gift or something for a new house.. a wine cooler would be the best lol!
WINE COOLERS
24″ DUAL I would love to have this to keep mine wine at the right temp all the time looks amazing .
I would like the Digital Toaster Oven because you can cook so many different things in it. I only cook for 2 people so sometimes it’s a waster to turn on the regular oven just to cook something small.
