We love Mexican food at my house and I enjoy cooking. This book is one of my new favs because the book is full of techniques that I, as a home cook, can understand; there are many updated and fresh additions to traditional Mexican dishes and the color photos are beautiful! Keeping my fingers crossed that I win this giveaway.
they have 128 recipes
I like that the book said it was SIMPLE directions and ingredients in order to easily put the recipe together.
My Favorite aspect about this book is that it is Truly Euthentic Mexican Food.My Best Friend is of Mexican Heritage and so is my 19 yr old Grandson!!Anyhow I want to learn how to make euthentic Mexican Tamales and Burritos. I have had them both before homemade By my friends. I moved about 10 years ago and I don’t get to have them anymore. So I want to make them and surprise My Grandson. I love him to the Moon & Back! Thankyou for the chance!
I like that the book has straight forward instructions so I don’t have to second guess myself!
I really like that it sounds like the book goes into the background of the ingredients & techniques. I love cookbooks like that, rather than the ones that just lay out straight instructions.
My favorite aspect is the pictures and new ways for me to use spices
I’d love to try authentic Mexican food recipes. Many restaurants claim to be Mexican but are not.
I love guacamole! One of the book reviewers is saying they have a section in the book just on different types of guacamole. To me that would be worth the price of admission alone 🙂
I like that the recipes are simple & easy to follow.
I learn by seeing. Love the beautiful photos that show you the steps to making these terrific recipes.
I like that it helps you figure out where to find the authentic ingredients….I hate having to google each item to figure out 1) what the heck it is and 2) where to purchase it
The book focuses on sauces, with chapters on salsas, guacamoles, adobos and moles – since most Mexican dishes rely on a good sauce base – this book is ideal for that.
I like all of the information about chiles and herbs that is included. There is so much you can learn.
I like the idea of the sources section to help us find the ingredients.
Besides that this book has simple, straightforward instructions on authentic Mexican dishes and essential cooking techniques, I love that it has a special “Sources” section, to help readers track down authentic Mexican ingredients that may not be familiar to them!
Looks so yummy!

I’m a sucker for colorful pictures in cookbooks!
I live less than 10 miles from the border and am working on my Mexican dishes, but these look much cleaner and fresher than the usual fare…
I love salsa and I like the idea of having an entire chapter dedicated to different salsa recipes. Nom!
