We love Mexican food at my house and I enjoy cooking. This book is one of my new favs because the book is full of techniques that I, as a home cook, can understand; there are many updated and fresh additions to traditional Mexican dishes and the color photos are beautiful! Keeping my fingers crossed that I win this giveaway.

My Favorite aspect about this book is that it is Truly Euthentic Mexican Food.My Best Friend is of Mexican Heritage and so is my 19 yr old Grandson!!Anyhow I want to learn how to make euthentic Mexican Tamales and Burritos. I have had them both before homemade By my friends. I moved about 10 years ago and I don’t get to have them anymore. So I want to make them and surprise My Grandson. I love him to the Moon & Back! Thankyou for the chance!

I really like that it sounds like the book goes into the background of the ingredients & techniques. I love cookbooks like that, rather than the ones that just lay out straight instructions.

I’d love to try authentic Mexican food recipes. Many restaurants claim to be Mexican but are not.

I love guacamole! One of the book reviewers is saying they have a section in the book just on different types of guacamole. To me that would be worth the price of admission alone 🙂

I like that it helps you figure out where to find the authentic ingredients….I hate having to google each item to figure out 1) what the heck it is and 2) where to purchase it

The book focuses on sauces, with chapters on salsas, guacamoles, adobos and moles – since most Mexican dishes rely on a good sauce base – this book is ideal for that.

Besides that this book has simple, straightforward instructions on authentic Mexican dishes and essential cooking techniques, I love that it has a special “Sources” section, to help readers track down authentic Mexican ingredients that may not be familiar to them!

I live less than 10 miles from the border and am working on my Mexican dishes, but these look much cleaner and fresher than the usual fare…
