What is The Spice Lab Gourmet Sea Salts?
The Spice Lab was founded when the company president, Brett Cramer, who has a passion for food and cooking, turned a fascination with sea salts from a handmade gift idea into a booming new business. The Spice Lab Gourmet Sea Salts gives chefs (and home cooks) access to some of the best tasting and undiscovered salts from around the globe.
The Chief Blonde Remarks: The Spice Lab Gourmet Sea Salts were a surprise to me. Sure I have tried Gourmet combination salts and spices before but never such dramatic flavor blends And never such clever packaging. I liked that each exotic sea salt comes in a Pyrex test tube with an all-natural cork stopper. Whatever size collection you buy (5, 9 or 11) comes stunningly displayed in a handcrafted, American-made, recycled lumber base. The sea salt tubes contain approximately one oz. of salt and a reference card is included in each package which offers suggestions on uses of the salts and dish pairings. I really adored the Wild Mushroom Cyprus Flake and the Chardonnay Oak Smoked Fleur De Sel salts. I also found the reference card useful such that I used my sampling salts in the proper way until I got used to their unique flavors and textures. www.thespicelab.com

The Old World Salt Collection #1005. I imagine the spices would be a little different and we enjoy trying different spices in our food.
