SAVANNAH CATS

October 22, 2009 By Shelley Zurek

Savannah Cats–Rare Wonders!

Savannah Cats

 A Savannah Cat

Here’s a holiday gift idea that can only fall under the Category “The Purr-fect gift.”
Pets are often a reflection of their owners.  That being true,  Savannah cats manifest a cultured spirit, a crazy mixture of haute couture and over-the-top savage superiority.

Savannah cats are a mix of a domesticated breed and an African Serval.  The cats are almost “Dog” like in that they can learn how to fetch, like to be walked while on a leash, and even enjoy waterplay! Extremely loving, Savannah cats are truly a unique family pet. These massive cats are also the nearest you can come to owning a wildcat for most states and yet not break any laws.
You can buy kitten “cubs” at the Savannah Cat Shoppe, which is considered the planet’s very first retail outlet where this hybrid feline can be purchased.  All of these cats stem from the lineage of Scarlett’s Magic, who lays claim in the Guinness Book of World Records™ as the tallest domestic cat in the world.  Lee And Kimberly Draper are the breeders of Scarlett’s Magic and they are also the owners The Savannah Cat Shoppe AND THE Bella Gattini Cattery.

Savannah cats  are extremely rare. So if you want one for any holiday, make sure to pre-order from the Savannah Cat Shoppe is taking holiday preorders now. “We would love to be able to provide enough kitten cubs for everyone who wants one, but nature doesn’t work that way,” said Shoppe owner Kimberly Draper. Visit www.savannahcatshoppe.com, or call 800-881-0006.

How much does one of these little lovelies cost? The price of a Savannah will vary depending on the quality of the individual cat–between $950–$22,000.

Watch this great video to see these beauties in motion!
