Rita Hazan Root Concealer Addresses Yucky Roots

Are you like me, a woman over 45 who has colored her hair since I was 12  forever, and still can’t seem to keep up with her root re-touches?  I just don’t know what happens.  One day my hair is looking fantastic and the next—GAHHHH!!!  I look like something the cat dragged home, with gray and dark disgusting roots showing through!  What’s a Blonde to do?

Recently, I have had the opportunity to try Rita Hazan Root Concealer.  I approached this product with HUGE hesitation.  I have used a few root concealers in the past and they all made my hair look reddy gold and greasy.  Not a pretty look at all…  So I forced   encouraged my husband to try it first–He does not color his hair.

The Chief Blonde’s Husband, who does not color his hair, shows how effectively Rita Hazan Root Concealer covers gray.

Okay Now..maybe I WILL try!

After I let my husband try out the Rita Hazan Root Concealer and saw how well it covered his “uncolored” hair  roots(we used the “Blonde” tone), I decided that I could try it.  I was worried about it discoloring my current dye job but then I read that the root concealer is safe and does not alter hair texture or hair color nor does it contain alcohol. It’s formulated without Parabens or Sulfates.  Alright, I decided to give it a try…my dye job was waning and I really did need some help.  Besides, Rita Hazan Root Concealer is even safe for pregnant women as it is made from natural pigments – Iron Oxides, Titanium Dioxides and Mica.

I found the Root Concealer really simple to use, unmessy, with no harsh chemical smells!  My hair didn’t feel tacky once it dried.  The pinpoint actuator made it easy to get on my hair and didn’t get all over my clothes.  Once the product dried, I was shocked, but even when I slept, it did not get on my pillow!  Nor did my husband’s rub off onto his clothes/skin when he worked out and perspired–which is one of the MOST amazing aspects of the product.  It was easy to wash out with shampoo, although I did use two lather ups instead of my usual one.  So the final test…How did it work?

Did the Rita Hazen Root Concealer REALLY conceal my Roots?

The Chief Blonde before and after applying Rita Hazen Root Concealer!  Subtle and effective.

I was so thrilled with the final result.  It covered the gray, lightened up my roots!  Now isn’t that exactly what it was supposed to do?  This product will be in my makeup bag from here on out.  I know I will use it for those times when I just can’t get my act together to be to the salon on time.  I highly recommend this product.  Just another little trick to keep the Chief Blonde looking Fab! YEAH!

great product but not much product in spray cantainer for the price… should be at least 4 oz or more so I dont have 5 or 6 small cans taking up cabinet space… Using this product I dont have to go in for coloring so often…As a baby boomer I am not not ever will be ready to go gray…

Wow! It did cover up the very little bit of gray you have. I need this product. I hate having to visit the salon just for a touch up.

Looks like it did a good job on the Chief Blonde.

As I happen to actually like my grey hair..I don’t need it myself…I do however love that blouse the Chief Blonde is wearing in the picture.

    Looking good!

So this might be something useful in between coloring correct? My mom is looking for something like that so I’ll share with her. Thanks!

Interesting! I didn’t know a product like this existed. I have not colored my hair for years, because it grows so fast and I can’t stand those pesky roots showing. Might have to reconsider!
