Red White and Blue Manicures, Red White and Blue Nail Art

July 3, 2014 By Shelley Zurek 26 Comments

July 4th Manicures?  Memorial Day Manicures?

Labor Day Manicures? Flag Day Manicures?

Red white and blue manicures are the way for the day. My manicure posts are always popular with my readers, especially during holidays. No holiday calls for decoration more than the Fourth of July. Here are some stunning red white and blue manicures to start some fireworks of your own on any patriotic day!

Patriotic Stripes

Patriotic Stripe Red White and Blue Manicure How-To:

  1. Apply a base coat like JINsoon Power Coat
  2. Apply JINsoon Cool Blue on the entire nail bed
  3. Apply JINsoon Kookie White to the middle of each fingernail, leaving two stripes of blue visible on each side of the nail
  4. Apply a stripe of JINsoon Coquette in the middle of each nail
  5. Apply a top coat like JINsoon Top Gloss for a glossy and lasting finish

Psst: Nail Tip…some nail striping tape might help the beginner!

  2. Apply JINsoon Kookie White on the entire nail bed, leaving the ring finger bare
  3. Apply JINsoon Cool Blue to the entire nail bed of the ring finger
  4. Using JINsoon Coquette, apply horizontal stripes with a thin brush over the middle finger and the thumb
  5. Using JINsoon Coquette again, apply vertical stripes with a thin brush over the index finger and the pinky
  6. Apply JINsoon Polka White over the JINsoon Cool Blue on the ring finger to create the stars
  7. Apply a top coat like JINsoon Top Gloss over the nails for a lasting glossy finish

Colors Featured:  Left to Right, Top to Bottom:   ‘Soirée’, ‘Blue Iris’, ‘Coral Peony’,  ‘Gala’, ‘Auspicious’ and ‘Audacity’.  All polishes are JINsoon. My favorite has to be the gold ‘Gala’ for the extra bit of fireworks!

These are really pretty. I have to do this with my granddaughter. She loves painting nails and she loves the red, white, and blue themes for all kinds of things. She has a red, white, and blue tutu she wears, among other things 🙂

I’m not good with stripes, but I really love the white speckle overlay, I can paint a top coat just fine!

Oooh, they are definitely patriotic! I really don’t do my nails given my farm life but I used to in my old life. These are really special manicures…
