Quaker Soft Baked Bars–Like Eating a Guilt Free Cinnamon Roll

The Chief Blonde’s Husband Loving Banana Nut Bread Quaker Soft Baked Bars
Quaker Soft Baked Bars are Quakers newest creation.
Quaker Soft Baked Bars come 5 to a package with 5g of fiber and 6 g of protein, with just a mere 140 calories! Banana Nut Bread and Cinnamon Pecan are the flavor offerings. Also, they are an excellent source of 5 B vitamins. Quaker claims they have a bakery flavor taste in convenient on-the-go packaging…so what do I think?
Just like Grandma Makes!
The Chief Blonde Remarks: I am a cookie/sweet snob. My mother and grandmother were incredible bakers, making the best bread, cupcakes, cookies, and rolls that ever popped out of a kitchen. Plus, they would time these delights to be delivered from the oven right when you walked in the door from school or work! So that being said, how did Quaker Soft Baked Bar stack up against Grandma? Surprisingly well!

The Quaker Cinnamon Pecan Soft Baked Bars had a generous sprinkle of pecans which really amped up the “home-baked” feeling of the treat. My husband felt they were so good that the glaze on the bar wasn’t even necessary. However, my daughter who has much more of a sweet tooth felt the glaze was the “icing of the cake” so to speak. LOL! My daughter’s favorite was the Cinnamon Pecan and she said because the Quaker Soft Bake Bars only have 140 calories, “It was like eating a guilt-free cinnamon roll”. High compliments indeed! Now my husband preferred the Quaker Soft Bake Bars in the Banana Nut Bread flavor. He thought the texture was excellent with a good banana flavor enhanced by the chucks of nuts on top.

Both of my testers agreed that the size of the bars were superb for a snack or even for breakfast snack. When my daughter was eating the bars, there was a lot of lip smacking and “yummy, yummy” going on, especially after she warmed ithe Quaker Soft Baked Bar up in the microwave. Both she and my husband agreed that the bars were very good right out of the package, but they ROCKED when warmed in the microwave for 10 seconds. Several other aspects that they noted were that the bars were flavor packed, chewy, fruity, and very high quality. My husband liked that they were less like a cookie and more like a bread. While, my daughter commented that she got to enjoy a sweet but still felt like she was eating something good for her. Being a dancer, she always searches for wholesome food that balances taste against calories.
I think these would be excellent snacks for drinking with your coffee at work, to share with the team after a ballgame, or to carry in your purse when shopping to stave off the hunger pains of a weary toddler.
I like that you have more than one reviewer…great to get family involved. These sound yummy and I like that they have a “home-Baked” feel especially coming from a sweet snob. 🙂 Hopefully your husband will enjoy one today…Banana Bread Day!
Hello Mr. Chief Blonde nice to meet you. Looks like you are enjoying your Banana nut bar.
Pecan cinnamon sounds so good to!
I have been hunting for these up and down our city! They look so indulgent, yet still light enough to be an in-between snack or morning breakfast supplement. I can’t wait to try them!
Those look so delicious. We are big quaker fans too!
they sure do look yum! I love warm baked goods.
Okay, I am so hungry right now and these look so delicious! If only I had these bars and a microwave handy- I’d be so happy LOL.
They look good. I may have to check these out when I get to the store.
