What is Playmobil?
Do you know about Playmobil? I am always amazed at the number of parents and grandparents that don’t!
Since 1974, PLAYMOBIL® toys, created by Hans Beck, have become a classic throughout children’s playrooms, with play themes ranging from a knight’s castle to a sunny vacation hotel. My daughter had the big victorian dollhouse (now called the Grand Mansion) and my son had the Knight’s castle (his was quite similar to the current version.

As you know, my kids are now grown…but oh my did they love Playmobile when they were little!
We still have a massive box of Playmobil because I want to keep it for my grandkids AND because more than any other toy, my kids loved and identified with Playmobil! I consider Playmobil as heirloom toys.

PLAYMOBIL’s $39.99 and $39.99 help kids make the transition to school day fun! Yet, Playmobil for Adults can’t be denied. My kids came over when the Playmobil toys arrived, and immediately dived in and starting putting the whole schema together and playing. Now mind you, they are 23 and 25! I couldn’t help joining in the fray either! Why is Playmobil so much fun? Well, take these two toys, for example:

My kids have the fondest memories of playing with Playmobil and if I pull out the Playmobil toys today, they will still get down on the floor and play with their cousins. Playmobil is just so realistic and high quality. As a adult, you can really appreciate the level of play acting that can be attained from these fascinating toys. As well, Playmobil has so many different fun sets that play well together.

If you buy your kids one item for Christmas, buy them a Playmobil Playset like the awesome school bus or school house featured here. For the adults in your life, realize that there are many many other playscapes to capture any even the most sophisticated adult’s imagination!

I would like the Adventure Tree House Building Kit! I have always loved tree houses and this looks so fun! I remember playing with a friend’s playmobile pirate ship when I was younger and I got hooked! Love playmobile!!
The PLAYMOBIL City Zoo Kit, Large appeals to me because adults and kids alike like animals and all the different kinds at the zoo.
I like the zoo kit because I enjoy going to the zoo and I love animals.
I love the PLAYMOBIL Adventure Tree House Building Kit because I always wanted a tree house when I was a kid, but since my Dad was in the Navy and we moved around a lot I never got one. I also love that it comes with so many animals (it comes with a bald eagle!).
I like the PLAYMOBIL Family Caravan as it is so cute and I love the outdoors.
PLAYMOBIL Red Serpent Pirate Ship–because I’m still all about pirates and the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie is coming!
I like the PLAYMOBIL Rescue Ladder Unit because it is a great toy that my grandchildren will love.
I love the PLAYMOBIL Fairies with Toadstool House Building Kit. it looks like a lot of fun to play with and I know it would be a favorite of my daughters too. the unicorns are amazing!

I would love to have the Haunted House set because we LOVE Halloween in our house, and it’s right around the corner!
I want a Playmobil NHL Hockey Arena (especially once they add some San Jose Sharks figures)!
The Playmobil toy that appeals to me is the PLAYMOBIL School Bus because my mom was a school bus driver and retired from it after 30 years. She would love putting this together with me!
