Oscars 2012 Glam ! Outfits modeled by Women over 45

February 27, 2012 By Shelley Zurek 41 Comments

Nothing says Glam like a Favorite Star!  Check out Oscar’s Best!

Pink Pearl Outfits modeled by Women over 45

The Chief Blonde prepares to tweet the Oscars in a Vintage 1960s pink wool pearl beaded dress (reportedly custom designed for C.S.Mott’s wife), and Tahari Pumps ($69.99)

Tweeting the Oscars, Watching for Beautiful Women over 45

The Chief Blonde had the opportunity to tweet the Oscars along with some of her gal pal Fashionistas via #Fashionistaevents and @stillblondeaaty!  She was shocked when so many people tweeted back via #oscars #oscars2012 and #redcarpet.  Of course, the main news of the evening, was how E!  red carpet broadcast was totally ruined when Sacha Baron Cohen (dressed as The Dictator) dumped ashes (supposedly of Kim Jong II)  all over Ryan Seacrest –I found Sacha tasteless and the way E! and Ryan handled the incident totally juvenile.  I felt Ryan should have just “soldiered on” but….he didn’t and most people switched to ABC after that.

The Chief Blonde is wearing Rarities: Fine Jewelry with Carol Brodie Earrings in Pink Opal and Gemstone Rose Vermeil  (c/o ) $279, Jewels for Hope Pink Pearl Bracelet–the same Bracelets were in the Oscar Swag Bags (c/o) $60, and Jewels for Hope Swarovski Crystal and Pink Pearl Necklace featured in the Golden Globe Gift Lounge (c/o) $95.   Win the Earring >>HERE<< (until 3/1/2012)  and win the Bracelet and Necklace during the Spring Fashionista Events Giveaway, March 2-7!

Oscar Nominee and Best Actress Winner for Iron Lady,  Meryl Streep  in Lanvin. The 62-year-old actress also carried a  Lanvin clutch and wore  antique Fred Leighton earrings, and Ferragamo shoes.  Meryl makes a lot of scary red carpet choices, but I did love this dress on her and her hair was divine!

Glenn Close–Oscars 2012. Nominated for Best Actress for Albert Nobbs. The 64-year-old actress wore a green Zac Posen gown, Judith Leiber bag, and a pair of Bulgari earrings!  I didn’t like the jacket until she posed and then I loved it!!!  I made her looked fierce!

Virginia Madsen (50) donned a purple asymmetrical one-shoulder gown by Kevan Hall for the 2012 Oscars.  This was an interesting dress as it was panned by some critics and praised by others. I loved it!!

Sandra Bullock Oscars 2012

Sandra Bullock (47)

This dress, worn by Sandra Bullock,  was my least favorite of Women over 45.  Sandra, either seems to stun on the red carpet or stumbles.  For me, this was a stumble.  Most probably because of her hair…Loved her jewelry though!
