New York Fashion Week Spring Summer 2015 Manicures

Reed Krakoff’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection were complemented by Julie Kandalec for essie. She created a vibrant blue nail by using two coats of on both the hands and feet.  (All photos courtesy of BCPM)

It appears that spring nail trends have two trends: ultra-nude/barely there or opaque brights and lights. I didn’t bring you any of the ultra-nudes and barely theres because, quite frankly, they are a yawn to look at. I prefer these shades but they just don’t make great pictures.

Sophie Theallet’s Spring Summer 2015 collection Julie Kandalec essie NYFW Spring Summer 2015 Manicures
Inspired by the island vibe of Sophie Theallet’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection, Julie Kandalec for essie created a negative space double French tip nail using fiji and turquoise and caicos for the hands.  I love this fun twist on the french manicure, don’t you?

Jenny Packham Spring Summer 2015 runway show Michelle Saunders essie NYFW Spring Summer 2015 Manicures
For Jenny Packham Spring/Summer 2015 runway show which highlighted a rainbow colored collection, Michelle Saunders for essie created a youthful red-orange nail by using two coats of  on both the hands and feet.  I don’t have any shades in these orange tones, I adore this shade!

Stacey Bendet’s Spring Summer 2015 Rita Remark NYFW Spring Summer 2015 ManicuresStacey Bendet’s Spring/Summer 2015 presentation was heavily influenced by the beauty of Versailles. Rita Remark for essie utilized shades which included a custom soft lilac, a soft peach and a vibrant coral to flatter the collection.
Karen Walker Spring Summer 2015 collection Jin Soon NYFW Spring Summer 2015 ManicuresJin Soon created a literal green thumb to complement the garden-inspired Karen Walker Spring/Summer 2015 collection.

I can’t say that I’m much for nail polish since I don’t wear it – the goats don’t care what my nails look like but of all of the colors you showed I like the geranium the best. When I did have long, beautiful nails I tended towards bright pinks.

I’m not big on blue or green nails, but that shade of blue in the first pic is really pretty. I like the matte finish.

Some cute and pretty colors, more of what my daughter would wear than I would.

I love the french tip using fiji, turquoise and caicos! But the soft lily is my favorite. I love purples, I think it is a perfect nail color for fall as well!
