PowerGenix NiZn Quick Charger Review
What PowerGenix has to say:
If you are like most people, you probably don’t think much about your batteries – until they run out of juice. The typical consumer pops a battery into a device and expects the device to just work.Traditionally, disposable alkaline batteries offer more power (1.6V) than rechargeable batteries (1.2V). But disposable batteries create e-waste and are not nearly as sustainable as rechargeables. That means that consumers have had to make a choice between achieving superior performance and being environmentally and economically savvy.PowerGenix has developed the first viable alternative to disposable alkaline batteries. Made with safe, nontoxic Nickel Zinc (NiZn) chemistry, PowerGenix’s rechargeable AA batteries are a great choice for consumers because they provide the power level of a disposable battery with the environmental benefits of rechargeables. In short – they are the best of both battery worlds.Using PowerGenix’s batteries means everything from better digital photos to more powerful and fun toys and games and even a better buzz on your electronic toothbrush! PowerGenix’s rechargeable batteries are ideal for any high-drain consumer device and can be used in the same was as traditional AA batteries.
Chief Blonde’s Remarks: We liked the fact that the PowerGenix NiZn Quick Charger charged the batteries in 1.5 hours. We women over 45 need all the timesavers we can get. Also, for those with a GREEN heart, we like the fact that the Nickel-Zinc battery is the most recycleable battery and because the batteries are RECHARGEABLE will help to reduce the 2 billion akaline batteries that end up in landfills each year. Yes! I said EACH YEAR! My favorite aspect of the battery is that I can use it in all those devices that manufacturers’ warn not to use rechargeable in, due to its 1.6V capacity! I have always been a huge rechargeable battery fan but have laxed off in the last couple years because so many of my devices will not accept rechargeable batteries–I am so excited that I can start CHARGING again (Batteries that is!).
