A new Facebook Page has surfaced that is getting Tons of Blog Press!
The Facebook Page “Bring Back Chronological Posts on Pages” has seen its membership soar. As more and more bloggers take up the drum, the membership is sure to zoom into the 100,000s. I have never seen such a complained about issue. When I got my Facebook report this week, I was shocked at the drop in interaction. I know when I go to others pages, they all seem wacky and out of order, and then I realize “Oh, this isn’t in Chronlogical order, it’s in Facebook order”. Some Pages have not yet gone to the “New Page”, when you hit upon one of those “Old” Pages, you sigh with relief…tabs are along the top, a nice status appears and everything is in CHRONOLOGICAL order–duh!
Here’s what Facebook has to say about it in their Facebook Help Center:
The News Feed is not a real-time stream but based on an algorithm determining popular and interesting content. Factors include how many friends are commenting on a certain piece of content, who posted the content, and what type of content it is (e.g., photo, video, or status update).
Talk about alienating people! This sounds like Ebay all over again. There isn’t much we can do to protest but here are Three things I would suggest.
1) Blog about it
2) Like “Bring Back Chronological Posts” on Facebook
3) Submit feedback to Facebook on Upgraded Pages DAILY–
Dear Facebook, I cannot seem to get my Facebook PAGE posts to go in Chronological order. As I cannot possibly imagine that a smart company such as yours would do something so idiotic, I must have a bug on my page. Please investigate and switch it back to chronological.

Update via Simply Stacie:
I actually did a Facebook seminar last night and learned that the only way to see chronological order is on your own page in Admin view. I also learned that each fan will see your page differently! So how you see it may not be how I see it in terms of the order of posts. Facebook is using EdgeRank to rate the posts (similar to how they put what goes into your newsfeed).
Bottom Line: Figure out a way to deal with it. Some of the Facebook social experts are predicting that Facebook won’t be switching this anytime soon. Hope for once the experts are WRONG!

I ran a giveaway of late, and yes, the non chronological order made it very difficult to track…Bravo to you for bringing it to light!
