How Women over 45 Discipline Children

October 7, 2010 By Shelley Zurek

A Now a break from Breast Cancer Awareness  to add some Humor…

Sent to me by my Aunt Judy…God love her.. she sends the best stuff..I modified to fit the audience here!  I did not write this nor did she but…it is too funny not to pass on..it is a quote from some frustrated parent somewhere!  (Please let me know if you know the author!)

Most of the American populace thinks it is improper to spank children, so I have tried other methods to control my kids when they have one of “those moments”.  One that I have found effective is to just take the child for a card ride and a “talk”.  Some say it’s the vibration from the car, some say it’s the time away from any distractions such as TV, video games, Computer, Ipod, etc.  Either way, my kids usually calm down and start behaving after our car ride together.  Eye to Eye contact helps a lot too!

I’ve included below one of my sessions with my children, in case you would like to try the technique as well.

Blog Note: No child was harmed to make this blog post.  The child in the photo is only a representative sample of my children, an actor, not an actual child.  But you have thought about it haven’t you?  Note the speed on the sign in the background.  LMAO!  This technique is works well on grandchildren, godchildren and neighborhood dogs!

If we are honest with ourselves, something this evil has crossed our minds at least once in our lives. I wonder how it would work on adults and politicians?

Too funny! My toddler is still in his terrible two stage and I cannot tell you how many times this may have seemed like a good idea. Well maybe not that exactly, but I have told him the adoption van was on it’s way to pick him up. HA!
