My Wonderful Father is 80 today!
No, that must be wrong! This is a man who wears no glasses, can lift his own weight, and only takes one pill a day! Doesn’t he look more like a 65 year old? (Please say yes, because that would make me 38 and I am all over that number!)
Let me just brag about my wonderful father for a minute. With it being his birthday and so close to Father’s day, I feel like I am allowed to go on and on a bit. Dad was an excavator his whole life with his own business. He worked so hard each day, laying pipe and managing a crew of men. As we are from Michigan, he worked in the hot hot heat and the dead winter cold.
Not only was he a great provider for our family even during hard times, he always had time to play with us and work with us. He and I spent three years down at our barn building soap box derbies and another few months finishing and painting my first big-girl car. We always went snowmobiling and sledding in the winter and spent time shooting in our backyard (an open area) in the summer. My dad would often take my brother and go with his brother and father to the local gun club to shoot skeet. Sometimes, even I would get to go along.

What do you get the “Perfect Father” for his birthday or Father’s day?

some tackle bags or fishing reels would make my fiancé totally happy and would gift it from me and our baby! We just had a store finally open up near us and he is all excited lol… we went to check it out and it was amazing.
we live near his uncles farm *like a stone’s throw/walk…they have a pond up there that they stock with bass and other fish. He takes our two older daughter’s up there and we will take the baby up there this year since she is 2 and will love seeing the fish. but he loves getting fishing gear but we usually don’t have the money to splurge on it.
the other thing he would like would be golf stuff but I didn’t see any golf stuff on the page…. but I know they have golf stuff…. I think lol

oohh, tossed between the Maddox Leather Rocker Recliner and the Maddox Microfiber Recliner Loveseat with Console.. I know he wants a loveseat recliner but that one isn’t leather the rocker recliner is. he prefers a loveseat so when my brother goes over to watch ball games with him then can both fall asleep in front of the tv…haha
