In Google Analytics: How to find your daily traffic
I use Google Analytics on a regular basis to check my traffic. Occasionally I will change the dates, to stretch beyond the month period that it normally displays. On the opening screen you can look at a day, week, month, or year view.
When you go into the Dashboard, you adjust the dates even further by inputting a specific date range. This enables you to look at how many visits that you are getting for a particular post of interest.
What I never realized before, is that you can look at the current date’s data, yes, today’s date! What a revelation! It’s not obvious, because when you look at the dates to choose from, today’s date is not highlighted (Oct. 5 in this example).
But if you input today’s date (in this example, Oct. 5), you can look at your stats for the CURRENT day while the stats are compiling! Not rocket science, but we Blondes were thrilled to have discovered this fact! TIP: Make sure to change the right hand date in the range first.
Hope this helps at least one of you out there (even if you are not Blonde!)
