What do I buy my Techie Boss?

Gifts for Tech Heads

Does birthday gift shopping stress you out? I know that’s how it makes me feel. There are generally all sorts of folks on your gift list — spouse, parent, child, friend, and even your boss. What sort of gift do you get for your boss?  There’s a lot of pressure to get the perfect gift for that individual.

I know my boss likes tech stuff, so if I had a techie gift list to refer to, I wouldn’t have to buy him a stupid gift card for his birthday every year. Did you know that Best Buy can help you to give the best tech gifts? The Best Buy Top Tech Gifts list will inspire you with the latest and greatest in technology. The Gift List for Techies includes just about every kind of tech gift that a tech lover could possibly want, in every price range.

Gift List for Techies: Top Ten Gift Ideas

top Ten Gift List Ideas for Techies

  1. The Amazon Fire TV Stick is one of the most versatile and desirable items on the gift list for techies. It allows you to stream Netflix, Prime Instant Video, Hulu Plus, YouTube, music, and more right on your TV!
  2. How about the Fujifilm Instax mini 8 Instant Camera? Finally, you can get your pictures in print! (I know, you can print digital pictures, but when do you actually get around to doing that? Not me, unfortunately.) And, you can get them instantly. Definitely a fun techie gift!
  3. Perhaps that techie would prefer to print his own pictures. Best Buy has the technology for that as well, with the Canon Compact Photo Printer. You can print from your computer or your mobile device! How convenient is that?
  4. I’m a fan of the iPhone 6 Mophie Juice Air Pack, an external battery case that doesn’t just protect your phone, it keeps your battery charged. Once your iPhone is charged, the juice pack recharges. Not sure how it accomplishes all that, but I love that it does!
  5. If your boss is a tech lover and a golfer, the GolfBuddy will be quite popular on the gift list for techies. This Voice GPS Rangefinder is preloaded with more than 35,000 golf courses from all over the world. It tells you the distance to the front, center, and back of the green. And it’s multilingual!

  1. If your boss is a Droid user, the Motorola Moto 360 Smart Watch would be a perfect choice from the gift list for techies. It’s voice-responsive and doubles as an activity tracker! Now that’s a tech lover’s dream!
  2. Does the techie on your gift list enjoy a good workout? Then the Jabra SPORT PULSE Wireless Earbud Headphones with Built-in Heart Rate Monitor are the perfect fit. These wireless headphones play music, relay calls, and monitor your heart rate. They connect wirelessly (up to 30 feet away) from your laptop, tablet, or phone. These headphones can be used with the Sports Life app (or your favorite fitness app) to keep workouts on track!
  3. The Canary Indoor Wireless HD All-in-One Home Security System is a must-have for tech lovers. It features motion-activated recording, HomeHealth technology, and a 90+ dB siren. It also sends video notifications to your smartphone when anything out of the ordinary happens in your home. The best part of the Canary system? No installation required. Just plug in and connect to the Internet and voila. You’re set up!
  4. No gift list for techies would be complete without a drone! The Parrot AR.Drone 2.0 Elite Quadricopter features on-board pressure sensors, an autopilot feature, and a 720p high-definition camera. The drone’s app lets you operate it remotely from a compatible mobile device. It has a 3D compass and Wireless-N connection that allows for operation up to 165 feet away! The Quadricopter is intended for ages 12 and up, so it would be perfectly appropriate for the techie with kids.
  5. Rounding off the Gift List for Techies is the Logitech Harmony Ultimate Home remote, which is designed for use with home entertainment and home automation devices such as the Philips hue and Lutron Caseta Bridge lights, the August smart lock, the Nest learning thermostat, the Honeywell Wi-Fi thermostat, PEQ and SmartThings sensors — and more. And, the Harmony app allows you to use your Android or Apple smartphone or tablet as your remote!

The Best Buy Online Gift Ideas Experience provides inspiration to help you find the perfect birthday gift for the tech lover in your life. The Gift Ideas page allows you to customize the gift guide for “Him,” “Her,” “Kids,” or “Teens” so you can narrow down the list of gift ideas.

You can also narrow down your list by price range, such as “Under $25” all the way up to “Gifts over $250.” For me, the Best Tech Gifts list is right on the money for the latest and greatest gift guide for techies.

And, you can even create a Best Buy wish list! Tell your family and friends to create their own wish list — which serves as a personalized gift list for techies — so you can get them exactly what they want at Bestbuy.com

This is a really great list. Teachers do so much, I think giving them a gift of something that they can use is the best option .. I never did do teacher presents, my parents didn’t either so up until I started seeing posts like this ? I had no clue people bought teachers presents. I Just always gave notes and emails to show my sincere appreciation of their efforts and hard work!

I’ve heard only good things about the Amazon Fire TV stick. I had a Mophie for my former phone, the Galaxy s3, and found myself needing one for the new phone, too – I can get like 24 hours battery out of it (S6).

Best Buy is a great place to shop for gifts for anyone on your list. My boss(es) has horns and hooves and I’m not sure any of them are interested in techie stuff. The hubby though really wants a new camera.
